Hi, I have a getz 1.6 sport 3 door 2005 model. When the heater setting is on 11-4 it id blowing cold. The aircon still works. I have flushed the radiator, changed the Thermostat and added 50/50 coolant but still no joy. The radiator fan starts when the engine gets up to temperature and both the top and bottom radiator hoses are hot. The temperature guage rises just below half way. The air flow from the blower is fine but no heat. I have heard that the heater air mix flap can sometimes get stuck or the heater core is faulty but I have no idea how to check these. Help! I am freezing on my commute to work and cannot do without my heater! Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all

you could try and lower the glove box and see if the heater control rod's have disconnected from the heater unit, good luck matty.

Hi thanks for the response guys. I have looked behind the glove box and there is one rod which is connected to the air re circulation but this appears to operate normal. I cannot see any flap in this locaton. Just a few terminal block wires . I have also removed the car stereo and panel with heater/fan speed and aircon controls but have limited access due to the cables attached to the rear. Not sure if anybody can confirm if the heat control regulator is connected to the flap which allows the flow of cold and hot air into the car? Again thanks to all for your help. :)
