Is anyone able to post the files on the update USB? I know you can't update without an activation key (purchased license) but I'm asking for research on possibly hacking the 2013 nav screens.....
They have some real IT folks and have done a lot. I think however that the thread lost some momentum. Your USB port gives access without having to pull the radio.
For those that have updated... it states an improved voice recognition. I'm wondering what type of improvement you have noticed. It normally takes the car voice navigation two times to understand me and I'm hoping to see a big improvement here.
Can someone with 7U03 tell me if the map shows highway 385 from Arlington, TN to Piperton, TN as complete? No point in getting the update if the road I travel daily isn't on the map. Thanks.
I installed the v7 update last weekend. Took about 40 minutes and I left the car running while it installed.
There are some visual updates and the layout is a little different. I like it and I have already noticed navigation routes a little better in some areas for me.
My only concern is that I purchased when the mapnsoft website offered a coupon for v8 if you "buy today". My package didn't have a coupon and I've had no confirmation of a coupon via email. I sent them an email asking for verification but have not heard back.
Anyone else that upgraded in the past week get a coupon of some sort?
I just installed V8 07.09.02 yesterday and it looks like V5. It didn't show a new freeway that opened 11 months ago and it still only shows major highway speed limits. At least the Hyundai cars got it for $99 during their special.
Just got my email code and ordered mine. Upgraded to the 2 day FedEx since I don't trust ground shipping in my neighborhood. I'm hoping the screenshots shown mean I'll get a slightly different map look after upgrading.
Of course the whole Bluetooth metadata would be nice as well. My brother just picked up a 2014 Fusion with My Ford Touch. I am beyond jealous at the system in that car.
It's interesting that they've staggered the release of the coupons codes. I just got mine an hour ago. It's frustrating that I have to pay shipping on a "free" update especially since I didn't pay shipping on the V7 they sent a couple months ago. I guess I do get an expensive USB stick though.
V8 installed OK, but there is at least one new bug. When I set the nav to go to the stored home address, it will show the previous address on the screen when I arrive home.
So I'll see the previous address at the top and the words HOME. The previous address was from another trip entirely so I'm not sure why it's pulling that up on screen. Does anyone else see this bug?
I still don't understand why they can't fix the radio firmware to leave random ON and File info ON for MP3 playback. It's so frustrating that a simple change cannot be done.
$219 for the update including a $50 16GB SD card. It must be made of gold.
Here's one for $10. [ame]http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007M51J42/ref=pd_lpo_sbs_dp_ss_2/190-8113281-2085863?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe-1&pf_rd_r=1SNXVV92XY5KS0Q0M1QN&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_p=1535523722&pf_rd_i=B001EDTL52[/ame]
15% off doesn't mean !@#$ if you raise the price to eliminate the discount.
I will be skipping this update for all 3 of my Hyundai's with Navigation.
Just ordered V8.0 for my 2012 Sonata with free FedEx shipping for $99. This will be a huge upgrade / update for me as i am still on V3 that came with the car.
The new Version 9 update is out, for $169-$219. I would get it, but I can't really afford that kind of money right now (I just moved to a new apartment.)
Not me. I will stick with 8 until we trade in the car.
