It really isn't that hard to take the dash apart. The silver trim takes a little to "pop" it loose, but once you get one side started it isn't too bad. I was a little nervous as I didn't want to break anything, but had no problems taking it off. Once the silver trim is off, the rest is fairly simple. A couple screws and the headunit and HVAC unit slide right out. I looked at the video (in my first link below) prior to taking apart my dash. Just start by the gear shifter and work your way up.
