Morning.
My daughter spent over 3 minutes trying to apply the seatbelt yesterday. Eventually we managed it by drawing the belt very very slowly. The other belts in the car work as you would expect.
The car won't be going in for its first service until 12,500 miles on the clock (it has 800 miles at the moment), although I...

Hi
I'm very happy with my i30 and its Audio equipment. The only thing I don't like is the default behaviour when playing mp3: the display shows the mp3 filename. You can access to other id3's tag details by pressing the Info button, but after a few it returns showing the filename.
I've heard on Kia cee'd there's a way to change the default display mode by...

Evening All
Had my i30 diesel since Nov last year.I have only done 3500km so far but am still very happy. Its giving me 16.5km/l on just abouit every tank. The only thing I have noticed is that the speedo is not very accurate at 100, true speed is around 90.(checked this with gps)but at least I should not get any fines at that speed. The only thing I have done is take the std wheels off and fit...

We seem to have noticed a oil leak on the drive off centre of the engine bay passengers side (UK) which is clean in colour. I have checked engine oil level which is fine but the blackest colour I have seen engine oil. I have always used semi synthetic in my petrol car and that stays golden all the time.
Also what mileage are people getting, have never noticed the trip showing anything...

But all I have to look at so far is the sales brochure.
There's a teasing picture showing some parts of the Premium display, which sort of suggest that some interesting info...

Just a question for anyone else out there with an i30 using the ipod adaptor. I have one and have noticed an annoying thing happening when navigating through folders.
I've found that when I'm playing something, often I'll be unable to navigate up and down the folder structure from the point I'm at. It seems that the control returns to the top level (ie....

Anyone else experience/notice this strange vibration/sound?? When I'm driving at or faster than 50kmh, if I lower one or both of the rear windows, a very distinct humming/vibrating sound begins emanating from around the window opening. I assume it must be because of the i30's window shape/design but am not sure. It's pretty irritating coz I can hear the humming/vibration right in my...

Hiya!!
I'm purchasing an i30 SR Auto in 'Steel Grey' and it will be here within a fortnight!! I recently test drove the i30 and new CJ Lancer (I'd narrowed my choice down to these 2 cars after a LOT of research and below are my thoughts on this comparison, which clearly shows why I have chosen the i30.
First of all, I'll give you my...

Hi all,
I've been driving my i30 diesel for abvout 2 weeks now, and seeing that it's my first manual, just wondering if I'm driving it correctly.
As it's diesel I understand I shouldn't be revving the gears right out, but not entirely sure what the optimum is.
Can anyone else with a manual diesel please provide some advise regarding timing of...

Had a look at some pictures of the new Hyundai i30, think its being shown at the
Geneva show.
is it just me or does it bear a resemblance to the BMW 1-series?
