Hey i need some help i'm trying to get a supercharger on my 08 tiburon and just upgrading it and i can't find any headers for it or the 07 model cuz they are smaller than the 05 any suggestions???

Is it the same exhaust system on the I-4 and V6 Tib? Single or two catalytic converters? Thanks guys!

Does anyone know if there is a performance chip available for the 2.7L tiburon? I have an 06 Santa fe with the 2.7 and I would assume they would be compatible.

Hi I have a 2006 hyundai tiburon, i recently installed a Jensen In Dash DVD player, however this DVD player has the safety feature where the parking brake has to be engaged for it to work... I would like help on bypassing this so that the dvd feature is usable while the car is in motion... I have heard about using a toggle switch. Is there any other ways, also i will need a schematic of where to connect everything to make it work.. I AM STUCK PLEASE HELP...

Here is the problem, I want to buy this 2006 tiburon, but i cant tell if its an se or gt. The emblems say its a gt, but i think its an se because its orange and has the high spoiler. If any one can give me there thoughts i would appreciate it. I know this car isnt a hundred percent stock because of the engine plastic removed and the intake, also the head unit is pioneer not the supposed kenwood. I beleive its an se but i could be wrong, here is the pictures link.

i have an 03 tiburon GT and i got a fujita cold air intake. and i learned that you can have MAJOR problems driving in the rain. so i bought a bypass valve. i open it up and it says its only for aem products. i heard from many people that it doesnt matter cause it does the same thing. is this true? cause i am thoroughly confused. what do i do?

Hello -- I am new to the board, and am also a new owner of a 2003 Tiburon 4 cylinder.

I need to replace the back light cover, it is cracked. I was looking around on the internet and have seen these clear type aftermarket lights. Are they worth buying? Hard to replace?

Also, the headlights, the clear plastic, is pretty worn and I think I could get much better lighting with new clear covers. Do you need to buy the entire assembly? It looks like one headlight is almost $200. Seems pricey... maybe that is normal? Can you buy just the clear piece?

I've also seen xenon lighting for the Tiburons. Has anyone put that on their car successfully? Is it worth getting?

I have an 07 tib and im looking for a way to get rid of the safety start switch/button that you have to depress when you go to start the car. I have a 5 speed and am looking to put a remote start on it but that stupid button wont let it start unless it is depressed any ideas on how to get rid of?

Re posting as just been advised in US a coupe SIII is called a Tribuon. Hope this bit of info may get me some help.
Attempted to connect my iPod ( 80 gig video) via the connecting cable already installed in the car (07 coupe SIII) but with no joy. The iPod powers up and the menus display on the iPod but it’s presence is not recognised buy the car radio when you press the “Source” button. The instruction suggests the controls will be disabled on the iPod and all the controls will then be via radio unit.
Has any one seen this problem and can tell me what I am dong wrong?

I was reading this thread and my problem sounds similiar to his. A turn signal that is perpetually on. Right now, I'm peeking out the window at my driveway and there it is. My left turn signals on. Not blinking. Just on.

Problem is, I'm not able to shell out $700 for a new relay. I'm in school right now, living off my Visa and the seam of my pants. If I could hold off for a few months, $700 will be the kind of money I light cigars with.

Anybody have recommendations on what I should do? Is my battery draining by leaving it overnight an issue? Obviously I won't be able to notify other drivers that I'm going left...

EDIT : Discovered on my own. Battery drained overnight. Recharging it now. On the bright side, the lights have turned off x)

I own a 2003 Tiburon GT V6 and looking to add a widebody kit to it.
I like the look of the SC 2, but not too thrilled about the front bumper.
Any ideas on which front bumpers would make it look sleeker?

Also i know not part of my above topic but. i was thinking about throwing some headers on my tib and getting rid of the catalytic is there some kind of dummy O2 sensor or something i can do to get rid of a check engine light?

I'm trying to replace the rear brake pads on my 2004 Tiburon, but I can't seem to compress the caliper. I used a c clamp on he caliper, but the piston wouldn't move. Do I need some sort of special tool in order to twist the piston and rest the caliper? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just bought a 2002 2.7 V6 Coupe and have found a problem with the climate control, the problem being that it will only blow hot air when the temp is set to 32 degrees (top setting), anything below this and it blows cold air through. Anyone had a similar problem? Tried auto seting and that's the same. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm thinking about getting a short throw shift kit for my 2003 Tib GT from TWM Performance. A buddy of mine said to be careful though because it can mess up the synchro on the transmission. What's that about? Also, are they easy to install as everyone says? And is it even worth it? aka noticable differences. Anyone that has ever put one in I'd be happy to hear from you. Also if anyone could clarify on the potential tranny problem that would be great, because it kind of scared me away from picking a kit up.

I need to replace my reverse light switch on 03 GT but I have no idea where it is.

Just wondering if the stock amp is located underneath the passenger seat on the driver's side.

Also, how would I be able to get at it?

I've been poking around in my car and can't figure a way to get underneath the seat.

New fuel pump at 36K miles, now car shifts rough from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd, feels like rear end or drive shaft, anyone have this problem? '03 Tiburon GT with 2.7L, a/t. Is there a module of some sort that could be faulty? I have no codes, the fuel pump just went on a sub-zero night, could get car started and had to be towed in. Never bucked or had any rough shifting before the new fuel pump.

I have a question for everyone. I'm kinda new to modding so please bare with me!!!! I've heard from people that if you get an after market exhaust put on your engine light come on. Is this true? Why and how can you(if you can) get that light to work like it should? thanx in advance everyone!!!!!

I am a prowed owner of a 2003 Tiburon GT V6. This is such a great car car to drive. It may not be as popular as most of the other motor companies but I have to say, just one day just driving around in this thing and I would choose anyother car. The only trouble that I have is that no matter how hard I try, I can't seem to find a turbo kit for 2.7L engine. If anyone can tell me where I can find one Iwould greatly appreciate it. I found one turbo kit but it's for the 2.0L engine not the 2.7L.

Where do I find this bugger? On my old 98 Tibby it was quite easy but on the 2003 model it disappeared.

I think I was sold a 98 filter as well. something that big must be easy to spot

I am new on the site, but read the forums all the time. Reason that I have not signed up until now is because I haven't had a problem until now. I have bought my 03 GT Tiburon about a year ago and drive it approx. an hour to and from work every work day and it has been really reliable until a week ago. My problem is that my Airbag light has come on, and a day or so later, my Cruise Control stopped working. I have a warranty on it, so I thought I would just march into the dealership and tell them to fix it, but I was wrong. My Warranty has a $100 deductible, they charge $50 to diagnose with no exceptions and whatever they find wrong may or may not be covered, so I may have to pay for parts too. Beginning to wonder why I got a warranty in the first place, but that is another can of worms. My main concern is finding out why my airbag light came on with no accident or minor fendor bender or nothing. Dealership told me to check connections under seat to see if they are loose/disconnected, but no dice, light is still on. If anyone has a clue, please let me know before I spend money getting it checked out when I might be able to do it myself.

I just got a 2007 Tiburon and I'm trying to swap out the factory stereo to an Alpine. I got the wiring harness from Circuit City and the Alpine works, but there's a little hitch. Whenever I turn the Alpine on, my speedometer goes to zero and will not budge until I turn the car off and back on again.

I thought it might have been a grounding issue so I put a ground strap on it tonight but that didn't help.

Does anyone have any info on this?

My buddy (the Hyundai Salesman) calls me. Turns out they have a brand new leftover Bright Yellow 06 Tibby SE V-6 6 speed with the Sun and Sound package that they found stashed in one of their lots. He knows how much I wanted one and figured to give me a shot at it. The sticker on it is around $23K, he offered me $18K. The Kelly Blue Book retail is $17K for a used one in mint condition. My heart says jump at it and trade in the Sonata. My brain says you know what your wife did to the Daytona Shelby VNT when you tried teaching her how to drive a stick(busted tranny mount, and it went through the oil pan). Do I follow my heart and hear it from my wife for the rest of my life that she can't drive it or do I listen to my brain. BTW, the 5 year bumper to bumper and 10 Year Powertrain warranty starts from the date of purchase, so I won't have any problems there. What do you all think?

I own the GEN 3 2.0SE, lovely car and love driving it, but recently i've been having a lot of problems with regard to fuel consumption. Even when I drive it relatively softly, I can still struggle to get 120 miles out of 20 quid. Any ideas what the problem could be, as its really doing my **** in! I believe this equates to roughly 24-26 mpg, at uk prices whereas they say you should be getting 35mpg!

ok.. ive been trying to get the dash off of my tib so i cant check the back of the stock infiniti radio.. i figured i should just ask instead of ruining my dash.. since it has the stock sub could i just use that output to go to my 460 watt amp and sub??

I've got a 03 tiburon 4cyl. Its just starting to get cold up here in North Carolina..and I think its messing with my clutch. I went to start it this morning and even with my foot on the clutch it didnt start and acted like i didnt have the clutch in.. Well, I pumped it a few times and it started up. Then, when slowly rolling, when I could usually push the clutch in and roll, i'd hit the clutch and it would come to a stop.. I drove it to work which is like 2 miles, and when i got there there was a strong smell of burnt clutch.. Yet, after i got off, I went and she started right up and acted fine without the horrible smell.. Somebody said something about my slave cylinder seizing up due to the cold weather...(absolutely no idea...) Is this the problem?? I have 60k miles on her, and i still have the factory clutch.. Anything needed? Any ideas? Thanks.

I bought a 2007 tibby about five months ago and well, only a couple days ago i bought myself a new double din head unit (AVH-P6850DVD).

I am however having extream confusion on how the **** to remove the the old head unit out and put the new one in...

If there is anyone out there that can help me out with this by providing me with step by step instructions on how to do this it would be just wonderful.


Also, is there like a Tiburon club in Sydney that like yeah.... ?
