My tiburon has been to the dealer twice and they can't find anything wrong with it. (of course). The car starts fine but once I start going, each time I come to a stop, it will rev between 2500 down to about 1500, up and down and up and down a few times and will then settle down to 800-1000. I bought this 2000 Tiburon and it had a after market exhaust on it the problem I am having is it got the code p0422 and the dealer said the cat is bad and needs to be replaced. My question is how can I tell what converter is on there and will any cat work? The car seems to be loosing power and slow acceleration.

i just rebuilt a head and torqued it to the block in the proper sequence to 26 ft lbs and layed the cams in and torqued the cam bearing caps down to 10-11 ft lbs and pored some oil in the head and was wondering if it should be hard to turn the timing cam gear by hand with a wrench.......it turns easy untill it pushed the spings down till the lobe is about to be strait down and the valve fully open...
