I just installed some LED tailights and signals on the XG. The lights look nice, the light looks rich, although i need load resistors to get rid of the hyper flashing and the broken light indicator. What would be the best areas to install the load resistors in the trunk and in the engine compartment to make these lights work properly?

We had a pretty intenese rainstorms over here in NY and the potholes are ripe on the highways. I finally hit a nice one that made the sidewall bulge on my tire, the damage dosen't look too bad, just a small bulge. I was wondering are small bulges or any type of bulge on the sidewall mean the tire must be replaced for fear of blowingout on the road?

Has anyone got any thoughts on the interior lighting on the XG models? the lighting is so poor that as all you owners know it is almost impossible to read a map or anything else for that matter without finding a flashlight or sticking a miners lamp on your head. l have not been able to find any extra light fittings that will fit into the car and still look neat and tidy, has anyone found any...

I bought a new 2004 XG350 and a 2001 XG300 over the weekend. The XG300 was as is and I just realized now that the glove compartment latch is broken. I am going to talk to the dealer, but since I bought it as is I don't think they'll fix it.
What they did was shove a folded piece of paper into the latch assembly to hold the door in place. Dirty guys. The door opened once and...

Hi all,
As a separate topic on my newly acquired Grandeur 3.0, it rides extremely harshly. (admittedly, I have just stepped out of a Citroen, but it's still too harsh for a Grandeur).
It's done 164,000 km. Has 2 brand new 215/60 tyres on the front and 2 half worn Pirelli P6000 on the rear. Same size. 32psi pressure.
The ride, compared to the other Grandeur...

Almost four years ago, I test drove virtually every car in the Canadian price range of $30,000 to $40,000. Although I was very skeptical about it, I had seen pictures of the then-new Hyundai XG300, and decided to try it out. I was quite pleasantly surprised at how the car's mechanicals felt, and my personal comfort while driving it -- but dismissed the car since I couldn't...

I have a '04 XG350L with 14,000 miles. I just experienced my first warrantee work. With the "check engine" light on and the engine running very rough I dropped the car at the dealer. The verdict: burned out ignition coil which also baked 3 plugs and their wires. Also the check engine light which indicated an emission problem was the canister that collects unburned gas and a hose...

It has been interesting to read in recent forums what other members have written about camshaft belt replacement intervals. In the U.K. the owners manual and the workshop manual states that the belt should be changed at 40,000 miles, l noted that a guy in the U.S. stated that the belt change interval there was 60,000 miles and that in California it was only 'recommended'. the belt change...

because I have sold my XG30 2000.
You know why I did so?!!
because the dealer wants from me about 5000 dollar(18000SR) for just repairing the transmission( which I am sure it was not transmession...it was elecrical).
The car was EXCELLENT in most of the things...

Hello all,
We have a 01 XG 300 and I am wanting to do some tune up work on it. I was planning on doing spark plugs and a fuel filter.
Lets start with the plugs. Does the intake have to be removed and/or like some cars the engine rotated towards the front to have access to the rear plugs? Just doing a quick once over and I can hardly see the rear plugs.
And now...

I only use shell gasoline, as it is rated as a "top tier" gasoline. Only a hanful of gasolines have made this standard(endorsed by GM,Toyota,BMW, and Honda).
for more info on this subject just do a yahoo search and put in top tier gasoline.
These top tier gasolines have more than the required detergents as put forth by law from the US gov. All being said...Are fuel injector...

I live in South Dakota so I'm very interested to see how this car performs on slick...

Hello,
I have a 2002 XG 350 which I absolutely love except for a nagging seat problem. It seems I am having to adjust the seatback everytime I get in the car. It's always in a recline position after I leave the car parked. Weird thing is I have never noticed it actually move while I'm watching it.
Anyone seen this problem or heard about it?
Thanks much
