Hi,
I had someone hook up a diagnostic thing (I don't know the technical names for these devices) to my 2002 Accent after the engine light came on. The device picked up fault code 1401 but didn't say what that actually was (i.e. o2 sensor, spark plugs etc). I have tried searching online but am having no luck.
Does anyone out there know what fault code 1401 is for a...

I wasn't able to find very useful information on Google for this so I wonder if anyone here can help.
I just plugged an ODB II tool into my 2001 Hyundai Accent 1.5l CDX (UK model if that make a difference) it retrieved the following codes:
P1610 - Immobilizer Smartra Error
P1801 - Immobilizer Transponder Error
P1805 - Immobilizer EEPROM Error

Hey all,
so the tranny on my 01 accent is acting funny. It's slipping pretty roughly between 2nd and 3rd. It's ONLY between 2nd and 3rd and i already changed the pulse geneator. That fixed it for about a week and now it's back and as bad as ever
ideas?
The car has been well cared for and runs really smooth besides this

I have a 2001 Accent 1.6 l. I was going to take it to get a NYS inspection done and when I checked the computer with my Auto Xray scan tool all the readiness test were done except the EVAP test. I have driven it for almost 250 miles on the highway at steady speeds bet 45 and 55 for 30 min at a time with no luck. Did it with full tank. No check engine light. Any ideas? Hi, the name is alfred. I have a 2001 1.6 litre accent. When I initially start my car it seems fine, in park or neutral I punch the pedal and the engines revs perfectly. The problem comes after the engine warms up or a few minutes a driving power seems to begin to diminish. when revs drop and I accelerate again (i.e. traffic light, stop sign, etc. ) instead of a steady acceleration the engine...

OK. So I've read all the previous forums of people who have accents that will crank but won't start. I found out that the fuel pump was not spinning, so I purchased a replacement. Before installing it, I connected all of the wires and the new pump wouldn't spin either. I then hooked the pump directly to the battery and it spins with no problems. After that I realized that the...

I've discovered a chip from "SLR Motorsports". Purports to increase HP and help Mileage as well. Supposed to be a simple two wire hookup taking only 10 to 15 minutes time. $69 sounds pricey, but if it gets me 4 or 5 more MPG, it would pay for itself in 3 tanks! Anybody have any experience with this brand tuning chip? Or is it just another scam? ...

If so what bulb did you get? I heard the H4 causes problems with the install.

So my 2000 Accent 1.5L Manual (SOHC) with 87000 miles has been having slight idling issue for the last couple weeks.
