I have a wrecked 1998 Accent that I guess I'm decidning to fix, it sure is hard to find parts for it anyplace in NY and PA. The salvage yards tell me that the doors and the rear quarter panels that I need can come off from only a 1998 accent, I've noticed in my search for parts online that many parts seem to fit 1995 - 1999 I was wondering if that is true with the...

Hi all ..my daughter has a 99 excel/accent twin cam ..due to lack of oil pressure the motor was shut down by the computer..i have since rebuilt the engine but am told i now need to get the computer reset to be able to start the car ..any info or help would be greatly appreciated

I am Ronnie Waugh, I purchased the Accent car two years back and it is now
starting rusting very badly. The rust is under the hood on all bolts and
all over under the car.
i feel that i had done a big mistake by purchasing this car.

My 98 Accent 150 Rsi's left front eclectric window is busted. On Friday while closing the window, it just went "clunk". Window was halfway up. Is stopped at that moment and tried to close it further. i have a slam problem with it burnin oil /or i think it is/
it done 84000 miles and every 2 week i have to put 2 ltrs of oil in the back end is covered in black from the ex, dose anyone know what is wrong with it?

got a 99 twin cam. the filter is at the back of the motor on the firewall.
what is the removal process ???
can get the top line off easy but the one on the bottom is impossible. hard to get to can only use a spanner, can't see what you doing with the spanner and its so tight i can't get it off

When I Run in my Hyundai Pro Accent 1.5l, appear a green L/B light in my dash board and the car fail. Then I press the accelerator, the car restore the correct power. What does mean this error? How can I eliminate this failure?

Firstly, thanks for your time - I am new to these forums. I have recently bought a 1996 Hyundai Excel Sprint (Australia) and it's GREAT. I do have a question though. When starting, especially when engine is cold, there is a noise/rattle for about 15 seconds coming from the motor.
It's under warranty and the mechanic says that's a normal noise and even the new ones will...

I am not very familiar with these cars but my best freind owns a 95
Accent 4-door HB 5-speed. about two days ago his airbag light went on
but the air bags seem to be fine, then today the Check engine light
came on. Does anyone know what could be causing this? any

Good day all
I have a Hyundai Accent RSi 98 model and I have a jerking problem when accelerating in different gears. Jerking is most apparent in 3rd gear the rest it is not as noticeable 4th and 5th gear it is there but very slight.
Now I have head the engine opened as my injectors were faulty and they ruined my pistons so I have had new pistonts put in head overhauled new...

As i am unable to get the webtech site up in the UK is there any kind sole out there who could get me a copy of the wiring circuit for 1998 Accent LSI Auto,1341 cc,RH Drive, and send as attachment by e.mail.
I am installing remote central locking and need to pick up a permanent 15amp live.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Does anybody know if, it would be a problem of not running with an Air Flow sensor for a day or two..
No major distances say about 20 km or so.
Would I do any damage to the engine or should I stay under "X" in speed?

Just replaced both front springs on my Accent due to them both being broken.
Relative straight forward job (def' easier than replacing the discs that requires you to remove the whole hub assembly.)

Hi,
I have a 95 Hyundai Accent. It's a two door hatchback, automatic transmission. Sorry, I don't really know anything about cars so I'm not sure what the engine is? The problem I'm having is that the car is leaking oil. I went onto the hyundai web tech site to look and they say it could be the pcv system that needs to be replaced (hoses and valves). Hi, I have an Accent 1995 (USA type), when shifting up from 2nd to 3rd the engine spins and the process takes about 2-5seconds, I have 65000miles. Anyone knows what is wrong?
Also, I know now I should only use Hyundai oil but should I also change the a/t oil filter?

I am a new member on this forum and a proud owner of a 97 Hyundai Accent GL.
I bought the car in December 2004 with 140.000 km. The car runs great (the motor), but after I changed the transmission oil at the Canadian Tire...the transmission started to act strange. If the motor is cold and around 1/2 hours after I start driving...the shifts are a little bit brutal...at 3000 rot/min....

I drivw a 1998 Accent 1.5. In the 7 years I have gone through 4 battery's. Les than 24 moths on a battery. I anyone else had battery's going so quick. I have had the electrical system check more than 4 times - no fault found. Altenator replaced also. I allways buy good quality battery's. Further I have no problems with the car

Hi , Ive just changed the oil on my accent , 1.3 , "r" reg. I noticed a small white deposit on the underside of the oil cap.
I havent noticed this before, and am worried about possible water leak somewhere. The car gets driven very conservativley, never being revved much and just 7k per year.
Or is this a common thing that I should not lose sleep over...

When driving cold transmission is fine. Once it warms up works fine until you put it in park. When you put it in drive transmission acts as in nuetral. If you shift to low it goes, then you can maually shift to second and drive. Once you get back to drive doing that the transmission works fine until you put it in park again. Once it cools down it works fine. Is parked right now for fear of causing...

The driver's door coutesy light has stopped working. The switch itself is OK but a check of the power feed to it shows only 5V is there. Can anyone tell me how the door switch cable in the "B" pillar is routed and where it picks up its feed. I'm looking for a loose or bad connector along the feed cable but would appreciate guidance on where to find and access these.

My up till now normally ok Hyundai Accent MVi (1997 plate) as been very good. However, when starting the car up, it idles slightly below 1000 revs. Driving along it still goes extremely well. hey everyone ,
i bought a 96 accent gl, and it has been fine for 50,000kms ...
but now, it has started, to be very poor when accelerating,
sometimes, ill be going 80kms, and pressing down the gas pedal does nothing,
when it is to the floor it is super slow to speed up.....
the tranny is staying in gear , there is no slipping at all...., just no power..
