Hello,
Can anyone tell me where the fuse that controls the door/seatbelt chime is located? I had a heck of a time trying to determine which fuse it is on the panel...
Thanks,

I have a little oil seeping from under the valve cover. I think it is the gasket. Is the replacement as straight forward as it looks? I am going to get a manual, but figured I'd ask here first.

My passenger air bag off light comes on. My dad and my boyfriend are the only ones who have an air bag when they sit in my car. What is the problem with the air bag?

I have a standard transmission with full options.
The starting problem with the vehicle is very very inconsistent. The Engine seems to be cranking over at normal speed !
But when there is starting problem & I continue cranking, the noise is smoother !
Once the car is running does it runs fine & does not stall !
If I quit cranking...

hi, i own a '95 old Elantra, 150,000kms & manual trans. i had an overheating problem two weeks back due to lack of engine cooling. the engine went really hot but the temp indicator was on normal. i added coolant but im getting a small metallic sound from the engine when i accelerate. When I start the car, I have to apply gas to keep the motor from stalling. So right foot on gas, left foot on brake, put in drive and away I go. When the temp guage shows the coolent is warm, then it will idle and runs normally. After the motor is warm, I have tried removing connectors off of various sensors but it does not reproduce the problem. I have to wait until the motor cools. I do have the...

My sister was coming home from work when her 1994 elantra stalled and would not start. I towed it home pulled a spark plug and there was no spark(it cranks). I then removed the timing belt cover and everything was intact. If anyone can point me in the right direction on what the possible cause is it would be great. Thanks

I am a new member, happy to join you all.
I would like to discuss the following:
My car Lantra lost most of its coolant rapidly, and yet the temperature gage didn't show the temperature reaching the red zone.
Do you have any explanations?
Is it possible that the the temperature transmitter/ sensor in the engine was not
submerged in the coolant due to its sudden loss?...

Does nyone know what the torque is supposed to be on the rear wheel bearing bolt on a 94 Elantra? My initial reaction is TIGHT because it's the only thing holding the wheel on... not even a cotter pin. But it is a wheel bearing and I don't want to wipe out the new one.
Thanks,
J

Hey guys,
I have a friend that is requesting a part for his 1993 Hyundai Elantra (for a timing belt replacement) and he is not sure what engine his car has. He believes it is the 1.6L DOHC (standard transmission). Can anyone with a 93 Elantra with the original engine please send me a pic of the engine (elcaca@yahoo.com with subject elantra picture... I get a lot of SPAM)? This way we can...

I am getting a 1995 or 1996 Elantra from my sister. The engine is blown so I need to replace it. Does anyone know where I can find a used engine or where to start looking? I will have more details when I pick the car up next weekend.
