My girlfriend drives a 2005 getz, and was involved in an accident last week, where she "t-boned" a megane, and the airbags on the getz did not deploy.

So i want to know, how the actual airbag sensors work?
What sort of an impact does it require to deploy?

Hi all, I am pretty new here (this is my first post). My parents have bought a brand new 2007 Elantra and have since passed their 2002 Getz on to me.

I have installed neons in the bottom of the plastic door trims and want to wire them up so that when you open the doors they turn on so they light up the ground around the doors, problem is that i cannot figure out how to make them turn on...

I have a Hyundai Getz 1.1 gsi and I can't find the plug to drain the engine coolant and replace it with new stuff, can anyone help me with this ?

My new Getz ( 6 weeks old) is powered with a 1.3 engine.
I find that on a slope it just does not generate enough power to pull ahead... I have to give a good heavy foot on the acclrtr to get it moving in 2nd gear ; forget about 3rd.

My old Santro 1.1 never had such issues pulling on the same slopes, that too with 4 pax.

Anyone facing the same issues?

Rear foglight problem......I noticed the other evening that the switch was not illuminated (ie backlight for the symbol on the switch) and when I tried the switch itself nothing happened. A change of fuse the next day (although the original fuse 'seemed' ok...) and the switch worked, the rear foglight worked but the switch...

I absolutley love my 1.4 Getz but would like to improve the handling. I have just fitted 185/65 R14 Goodyear Excellence tyres as the factory fitted Hankook's only lasted 30000km.

So is the next step getting new springs?

It will work using a remote, when first connected to the central locking system.

I purchased my 1.3L Getz in Feb 2007. From day one, I am constantly bugged by the rattling noise in the rear parcel tray. Tried putting some 2 way stickers and all, but the problem persists till date. The dealers cant fix it. Shame on them.

imo, the infra red transmitting type is not really suitable as there is no good spot on the centre console to mount the transmitter to point at the IR receiver on...

Strangest thing is that if you break, the noise disappears until you let your foot of the break peddle.
