Was wondering if anyone has had any problems with engine ping when accelarating. I have the V6 petrol model. I have been using unleaded fuel and was told by the dealer, after a recent service, that I should use Premium or the Shell 95 unleaded fuel. I tried this but still get a bit of pinging from the engine, although not as bad. I was wondering whether anyone has had a similar problem.

Hi
I have just returned from a 400 mile round trip to collect some wheels. Went up empty, ride as usual, harsh and bouncy. Returned with 5 wheels and tyres in back and RIDE was SMOOTHER and far less HARSH.
SO.............
Where did I put those breeze blocks.
Does anyone have any info on better quality springs and dampers in the UK?

Bought a 2004 2.9 manual Terracan just before Christmas, 75000km on the clock. Overall I am very happy, as I am also using it to tow a caravan (what a feast!). One or 2 problems / questions :
1) as I drive, I get a sudden loss of power (revs), typical if the turbo disengage or for a moment no diesel get through. It happens infrequently, but recently I notice it to happen at least...

Recently let fuel go low on my 2.9 diesel terracan, filled up and a day later all of a sudden had a loss of revs and power. It runs fine up to 2.5k revs but wont go past approx. 2.8k revs. Drives fine but lack of power. Put in a couple of bottles of injector cleaner and changed funny looking fuel filter but still the same. Starts fine ticks over fine and no warning lights. Cant do more than...

My original front wheels on my 3 year old Terracan were very pitted and my dealers recently changed them under warranty. The existing tyres (BF Goodrich Macadams) were refitted and, to cut a very long story short, they are both losing pressure, big time - up to 9psi in 24 hours! I have to pump them up twice a day!! The first time it happened, I called my mobile tyre fitter thinking...

My wife Terracan was hit by another car on the left front side. After repairing it, we get a strong smell of exhaust gases coming from the air conditioning.
Does anyone have a similar experience?
I don't know where the fresh air intake is, or where is the inside air intake, or the flow circuit of the air conditioning, so my question is "Is it possible that exhaust gases can get...

If I take out the screw on the top of the indicator/sidelight unit, it comes slightly loose, but there's no obvious way to remove it to replace either of the bulbs. If I also remove the 3 bolts securing the headlamp unit, both plastic units move together, I can just see the...

Hi,
I need to buy a set of 4 fuel injectors for my 2003 Hyundai Terracan 2.9 Common Rail.
I live in Costa Rica and none of the companies that import Hyundai vehicles and parts have them in stock now and even though they offer to bring them, they say it would take at least 4 weeks to have them here… and that is just too much time.
I really can’t wait that long for...

I wonder if anybody has any suggestions about this. My 2003 Terracan Diesel Auto has the automatic climate control fitted. I set the temp to 21C in either auto or manual mode and it warms up as it should. It then cuts the heat but continues to blow cool air. The problem is that it never turns the heat back on unless I keep increasing the temp all the way up to the max of 32C. I have checked this...
