When opening the bonnet and bleeding the system using the rubber ball next to the fuel filter the car starts first time otherwise it is hard to start.
I think that there must be an no-return valve inthe system that is non...

Have just been down some Forest Roads and tracks in NSW, Australia and found the Terracan Highlander easy to drive and very capable. I have just had the Trek'n Tow suspension kit put on which makes the ride a little bit harder but has more control. default/' '' />

Picked up new Terracan deisel two weeks ago, have covered about 400 miles, today the central locking/remote door lock + alarm system + interior lights all failed, local dealer thinks it is a power supply problem, but can't find source of fault.
Anyone ghad similar problems, and if so what was the outcome

Hello,
it is a general user opinion that shock absorbers mounted in the Terracan (specially in the front axle) are very very soft. It can be dangerous in the road and very annoying in the off-road.
I had changed the original ones (mando) for the Koni ones. Now, the difference is so substancial (in road and off-road) that I almost have forgotten my former car: a Mitsubishi...

Hi
I am expecting delivery of my terracn next week, and on looking around at images on the net, see thgat most of these vehicles are fitted with a rear spoiler wich looks pretty good.
It appears that for some obscure reason this is not available in the UK.
Can anyone tell me why. and can anyone tell me where i might be able to get one.

\i have just ordered a terracan today from my local dealer in Scotland. I have tried to order rubber matts to fit, but have been told that these are not avialable in the UK.
Is any Hyundai dealer out there prepared to ship a set to me.

Hi Folks,
I have a UK spec 2004 2.9 Terracan with the overhead central LED clock (standard Equipment), I have seen on several non UK sites that this clock unit is an electronic clock/ compass and I'm wondering if anybody out there can point me at a dealer that will supply me with one, UK dealers don't seem to be able to grasp the concept - you just get a reply that it isn't...

I have been the very proud owner of a new Terracan since the beginning of January. Today whilst commuting to work the electrical systems died one after the other. First the fuel filter warning light came on, then the stereo died, then the clock. I made it to work, stopped the car, took the keys out of the ignition and shut the door, at which point the starter motor began to turn over by itself....

My 2004 Terracan has been a great replacement for Jackaroo Diesel that "died" at 65000k's. Recently my Terracan has started shuddering when moving off from stationary. The shuddering does not happen every time but is getting worse. The dealer has contacted Hyundai and an additive is to be tried in the diff - sounds a bit like the banana skins shonky dealers used to put in noisy...

Hi . My Terracan broke its timing belt at 59000 miles. This wrecked the head. Gonna cost over 5000.00 euros to repair. My vehicle is still under warranty. However Hyundai Ireland refuse to honour the warranty. They say the belt should have been changed at 56000 miles. I looked at Hyundai UK and found that the belt and all other mechanical parts are covered up to 5 years and unlimited mileage. I...

Hi there! I am having problems when cruising. I notice that it occasionaly lurches briefly when cruising at 100 km + and then immediately recovers speed. This happened 4 or 5 times in a recent 500 km trip. Please have you any ideas what might cause this and how serious a problem it is. Has anyone had the same experience. It is a Terracan CRDI Manual Full Equip. Murray.

Hi All,
I've a problem with the intermittent wiper settings on my Terracan.
Symptoms are:
When using the shorter interval intermittent settings the wipers either won't operate on the intermittent mode at all, and simply run on the regular slow setting instead, or they run intermittently (as designed) interspersed with several regular sweeps in between.

I am looking at various 4x4's with a view to putting one on LPG. I have placed the Terracan reasonably high on my 'to buy' list and would like to find out if it is suited to dual fuel.
Any advice will be appreciated. Cheers Cromo
