Hi all

I have just bought a 1991 Excel from my brother (Automatic, no owners manual). He insists that for optimum performance around the city the car should be driven with the overdrive switch ON, meaning that the overdrive light on the dash is ON all of the time. This seems strange. Is he right?

Hi, i have a 2005 hyundai accent. I bought it brand new and i only drive it on weekends because i walk to work.
I just hit the 50,000km. Now lately i have been having this problem.

i turn the turn key....room(like the sound of it about to start)... then a 1 or 2 second pause... the room and it starts

usually i turn the key.. room... and it starts.. no pause

im doin a turbo conversion to my 99 excel 1.5l DOHC i have everything needed but turbo manifold. already priced up one from silverwater auto and its like $780
but im just wondering if anybody knows if an scoupe turbo manifold would fit??

When i am accelerating it seems like there is something robbing my power but will kick in and be normal when i let off the gas till i start accelerating again... Hi there evryone .. i am thinkin of getting a new performance muffler .. without upgrading anything else .. mayb later get a 4-2-1 headers .. but for now am keeping the rest stock .. will dis muffler make a little difference to the cars performance ? is it better to change the piping to bigger ones ? hot big are the stock ones 'n how big can i upgrade them without sacrifycing torque ?

I just got a header installed on my 2000 hyundai tiburon 2.0, the thing is there is supposed to be (2) 02 sensors that need to be hooked up but the header only had 1 spot for 1 of them... Car seems to be laggin a bit in the mid rpms but kicks in in higher rpms. What do i do about the sensor and is it ok to be running the car without it hooked up??? OK I've tried to read up on these Individual Throttle Bodies, but no where have I found the type of HP gains they got from these, so far it's sounding like 5-10 HP for like $2000.00. Can someone with good information talk about these, and what type of gains would a person see.

hi, i have a 2000 accent 1.5L 5speed, and i want more power! i was thinking about a turbo, but it seems that if i want a decient turbo setup its going to cost me alot.

does anyone have any suggestions that would give me a little bit more acceleration, and overal power? how much would a turbo setup cost in my case, and what all would i need?

I have a 00 Tib 2.0 and I'm looking for some injectors I can use for N/A performance. The lowest I've found so far are about 350cc at kspec. I'm also wondering if anyone knows how many cc's the stock injectors flow.

I am considering producing a turbo kit for the 95-99 Hyundai Accent X3 1.5 SOHC. In order to do so I will need at a minimum 10 people to be 100% interested to start the production. A 50% deposit will be required per person to start production of their kit. The kit will consist of the following:

Tubular Equal Length Turbo Manifold with T3 Flange
Internally Wastegated T3 Turbo

I drive an 2001 Elantra which has a new rebuilt transmission. It's a 5-speed. Anyways, I it whistles when I push on the gas pedal and stops when I don't. At first I thought it might be the deer horns, but those would whistle regardless of the gas pedal.

I got a check engine for the IAC motor; the AutoZone guy said that it indicated that my car revved too high. The light came on when I revved my car because I was running late to work.

The other day, I removed the postive terminal on my battery to make it go away, and it did for a while, but the light is back on, and I'm assuming it's the same problem.

How does everyone feel about ordering parts directly from the Korean vendors? I have done some searching, and so far have found at best a hit or miss scenario. Are there any US vendors that carry OEM Korean Spec parts? SITUATION: I bought a 2000 Sonata with pretty low miles, and it reads hot as if it overheats.

The coolant was full of rust and looked like watered down mud. I had the radiator flushed and replaced the thermostat which was as stuck and rusted as they get.
Still runs hot.

I was thinking about adding a cold air intake or new exhaust system to my 2003 Elantra GT. I have heard from some people that doing this can cause a lot of problems with the car and it's not worth it. Ok looking at getting a header for my car and since it only comes with 1 O2 sensor I figured I'd go non-Cat. So how do I go about removing the second O2 sensor without getting error codes? Is ther a way to trick the ECU?
