Anyone live in Sussex?
If so I've found a great bodyshop and repair shop in shoreham.
They are called Bodyworx and they did a fantastic job on my car! It look like new where he has fixed the rusty arches and broken rear bumper. Best of all they mix all the paint themselves which drives down the cost. In all for both arches to be welded, the rear bumper fixed and sprayed and a key scratch resparyed cost me £160 cash.
I dont know the address but below is a screenshot from Google Maps showing where it is.
Oh and their number: 01273 414183

I have cloudy headlamps, they have been like that since I bought my car two years ago. I took one off, and I tried to take it apart, but found out that they were sealed tight. Long story short, I broke the seal, and now water gets in, even thought I tried to seal it with marine glue. From what I read, I have to replace them $150 to $200.
So, what causes the cloudiness? If I by new lamps, will they turn cloudy too?

While my 09 Sonata is new, I want to get a coat of something on the dark slate paint before fall and winter sets in.. I have looked everywhere and while some recommend a good paste wax, others are praising the "New" Space Age Liquids... What brands / types of wax are most of you using and why... I don't want to spend days waxing the vehicle, but want to put something on it that will do the job.. The dealer offered no real help on this subject... just said to use a "Quality" product whatever that might be... thoughts / ideas please..

I just used a California Jellyblade when cleaning the car today. It is amazing... With black paint I have had problems keeping water spots at bay. The Jellyblade swept the water beads off before they could dry. No more little spots left by the towel.

I just bought a 2004 Santa Fe 3.5L. Are all the seat panels leather or are certain sections real and others vinyl? My father has a Jimmy and only the center sections of the front seats and the steering wheel are real leather (the rear seats are all faux leather), so I was wondering if Hyundai does the same thing to save cost too.
Thanks.

If I could get the help of a UK or other European member, it would be greatly appreciated.
I'm considering wiring up my rear fog lights just as such but I need the rear fog light switch and wiring harness for a 2004 Santa Fe. If I can get this, I will be all set. If you can get both of these items and a quote on a price for both of them, I will get back to you ASAP.
Thanks for the help.

Hi everyone,
Just wanted to share this.
I've always thought of stock horns that come with most vehicles sold as sounding too dinky. You can barely scare a squirrel out of your way with them. And I'm talking about the two-disc setup - one high, one low. What about the single-disc? Let's not even go there.
I've always liked having strong, powerful sounding horns on my cars mainly because I've always felt that they got the message across very well and in truly dangerous situations, they WILL make you heard. That can mean avoiding running over a pedestrian or getting run into by another vehicle. Needless to say, this has gotten me on a quest to find a pair for my car.
Before I moved to the US from Asia, I always used Bosch FSA2 horns and had absolutely no problems buying them. More commonly known in the Asian market as Bosch Supertones and later Bosch Europa - they may go by other names in other places. They have a very loud and distinct tone to them. Very regal, if you ask me. Beem-beem! Some might argue that the Hella Supertones (black and red grill) sound loud too - yes they do but STILL in a dinky kind of way. They just don't mean enough business.

What's truly perplexing is that these Bosch horns are NOWHERE to be found in the US. Nowhere. I've seen one or two pop up on Ebay with prices averaging around $300-400. What a joke. These retail for the equivalent of about US$75.
So I started looking for alternatives. As mentioned, the Hella Supertones are plenty loud but just didn't have the character I wanted. A lot of other loud horns such as Stebel and Wolo one-piece horns but I wanted the sound of discs. My hunt led me back to Wolo's website and ultimately dug up the 306-2T. Not much info on it on the site except claiming to be the loudest horns money can buy. They are about 1/2 inch wider in diameter than the Bosch FSA2's which brings them to nearly 6 inches across. Huge. No reviews on it anywhere. Nobody seems to have ever bought these at all. $106 - not bad but too much for horns, for me. Ebay produced the exact pair for $33 - brand new, shipped.

So they finally arrive and I installed them. All I can say is WOW! These things sound just as loud and even manlier than the Bosch horns! Almost train-like if you ask me. There is a sound clip on Wolo's website but it doesn't do the real thing any justice. Remember, these are discs and not the one-piece horns that they sell such as the popular Bad Boy. They spit out a claimed 115 decibels - nearly as loud as the others but as I said earlier, with a lot more character.
I've only had them for a couple of days so I can't vouch for longevity yet but sound-wise, they leave nothing left to be desired. Since I'm not horn-happy either, it might take a while before I come back with time-tested information.
Let me just end by saying that these virtually unsung horns make an excellent replacement for your stock horns. If you already have aftermarket, they make great alternatives.

I own a 2006 Sante Fe (Early 2G), I am concerned about the wear on the outside eadge of the drivers seat, the leather seems to be getting thin and more pliable. I am concerned it will split. Has anyone experienced this and/or any advice. I have emailed Hyundai UK CS but so far no repsonse. Vehicle registered April 2006, 42,000 miles on clock.
Thanks

I had a question. I recently eff'd up two of my hubcaps. The front and back one on the driver side. I want to replace the whole set of them, but i dont know what the diffrence between hubcaps are. I have a 2007 accent, i know i have to remove the lugnuts to take the cap off, but can i use ANY hubcap as long as its the same size of my wheel? (14") or is there something i should be looking for?
I am planning on getting rims in the near future, just dont have the funds for them right now. blah.
anyone have some aftermarket hubs that look nice as well? let me know, im open to suggestions.
thanks!

I let my parents borrow the car when they were in town last week and they broke the rear (kid-proof) window by trying to push it down the rest of the way while pulling up on the power window button.
i took the door apart and found that the motor itself is fine, but the regulator (the pulley assembly that cranks the window up down) is all fubar and looks like a birds nest.
i called the junkyards and they dont have one...and the dealership wants 85 plus tax...
so i am thinking maybe i should just prop it up, but i dont know how to do it. anybody got some advice? i dont need to crank the window down ever, so a "permanent" fix will do fine.
oh, and by the way, now ive got an extra power window motor for sale that works fine!

I used it on my car today and now I'm looking for body shops!! I couldn't tell what it was doing when I was using it because it left behind just enough water that I couldn't see the scratches. But when I went back to wax, there were little hairline scratches all over my car.
I've used it before, and fresh out of the box it may be ok. But after that its trash!! I washed it via the directions, but something stayed in there!! I am so ****! THOROUGHLY!!
DON"T USE THE ABSORBER!!

ok, i am thinking about getting the windows tinted before the summer comes down here.
I want to know what your experiences have been with tint. I am going to have a shop do it, because tinting is way too involved and I don't know what I am doing.
I just need it for heat reduction in the car - I don't care how dark it is because it is a station car and I drive the back roads to work.
So should I buy into the upgraded metallic films? Do they really work at deflecting heat?
thanks for the responses!

I own an 03 Sonata and I'm trying to find out if they made the steering wheels rubber at all. Mine is that smooth leather which has no grip...unless I have lotion on my hands...ha.
Are there other Hyundai models that are interchangable with the Sonata that may have the rubber wheels? I'd also like to keep the cruise control buttons.

I was just wondering if anyone out there could give me a clue? I have been trying to find a set of the clear taillights for my wife’s 2003 Sonata. I’ve had no luck as of yet. I’m starting to get the distinct impression they just don’t exist. If anyone out there can help me I would greatly appreciate it. I’ve done the e-bay searches and a number of other sites, and still seem to come up empty handed.
Thanks in Advance,

Hi,
I own a XG300 and my drivers side Heated seat just stopped working. Both of the indicator lights work for the right and left seat and the passanger side Heated seat works fine.
I was wondering if anyone could give me some steps to try and troubleshoot this problem. I tried to find some diagrams for the Heated seat but the web page is not loading.
Any help on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated.
THanks!

Hi Guys,
I did search first and couldnt find it. Either I'm crap at searching or its not there to be found.

Anyways, I recently bought one racing seat, and I wanted to put it in to my accent hatchback, how ever it didnt fit. After I took out the original chair, and rigged the seatframe up, I noticed that the racing seat wasnt as witdh as the orignal seat, and the original seatbrackets wouldnt fit on the chair anyways because they had other things like adjusting your chair and stuff, so I threw it all away (coz I didnt take it apart probbly enough to be reused).
Then I got universal racing brackets, wich are supposed to fit... wich offcourse didnt.
So now, is there any shop that sells brackets for the accent that do fit... (i dont wanna pay more then 40 dollar tho) or is there anyone who has customized brackets befor and can tell/show me how its down...

Its kinda pain, coz now I have no driver seat anymore hahah, atleast it safes me petrol.

Hi,my first post here,i'm hoping someone may be able to help me out here on this one.
i've just done up a written off 2003 hyundai elantra hvt 2.0l 4 door sedan,i am in the process of getting the final checks done for re-registering,currently it's having a structural inspection, now the car was hit in the rear, not hard, hard,in fact really it seemed superficial, now what i am hoping someone could help me out with is,where the spare tyre fits into the tyre well it has a lip starting from approx half way and goes around to the other side halfway point, now it looks like it's a factory lip however the structural inspector informs me that it's not,now i have looked at other elantra's 2000 -2003 models,(gl-gls i think they were)there is no lip at top of tyre well it is flat with the floor,i have been told that in the 2003 models, from memory after july they changed a few things,i haven't been able to find another elantra hvt(sept build) to look at,is there a luggage compartment change ,i know they changed the tail lights as they had to be replaced, they look the same but the locating lugs and mounting holes are different,i was informed that there is a series 1 and 2 elantra hvt ,is there anyone out there that can assist me in this one, whether there should be a lip at top of spare tyre well, mine is the series 2 the model that some changes were made to,i was wondering if the luggage compartment was also one of the changes.any info would be greatly appreciated, thanks

Hi, I'm having trouble getting the door panel off my 1996 Hyundai Accent.
Both the front windows came out of the track, and completely out of the door.
I got all the screws/clips off the door panel, but the door handle bezel is keeping it on.
It looks like it is attached to the handle, and I can't figure any way to get the panel/handle away from the car..
Thanks in advance for any help!

I have a Dutch model Elantra (2001) which is LHD.
I am registering it in the UK & need to permanently adjust the headlight
beam to dip to the left so it doesn't blind oncoming traffic.
(stickers, beam deflectors and other non-permanent changes are not
acceptable)
Will it be possible to modify my current set of headlights (currently
dipping to the right) or do I need to buy a new unit/part.
Our local Hyundai dealer mechanic seemed very keen to replace the whole
unit - but I don't know if this is really necessary.
Thanks in advance for any info's

Does anyone know where I can find a full body kit for a 2001 Accent Gl? I've got the 4 door, so I've come up completely empty handed. I assume the front and rear of the 2 door kit would fit my 4 door but then I'd have to get the side skirt custom made. And i talked to a guy who did it who said it was 1200 for a custom side skirt. thats ridiculous considering the full kit for a 2 door only costs 600-1200 total. links would be nice.
thanks ahead of time

I was looking at some wood type interior trim that goes around the console, and also there are various chrome adhesives to put on fog lights, and in between the doors on the outside, but they're all applied with an adhesive backside. Doesn't this seem pretty cheap?
