Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone had any idea how to add a minijack connection to the 2004 accent stock stereo, clarion PE-HM5064HC, or how hyundai calls it the HCD50645P, I thought there might be some inputs on the back for RCA in but i couldn't feel any. either way i bought an RCA to minijack Cable. No idea how the whole moding of stereos work so any info is helpfull. Does anyone know if this model can do this or do i need a harness? Anything please

.

I bought my 2002 Accent used last December. Here is a picture of the radio front which I removed for the purpose of taking the picture.
Whenever I use the scan feature for stations it totally erases all my presets for the other ones on both AM and FM. This is a very annoying feature.
Does anyone here have this same model HAC445 radio ? Is there something I am doing wrong with operating it ? The car was used and the dealer could not provide a radio manual and was not at all interested in getting one for me.
The only scan button that works is one of those three on the bottom right. Touch one of those to scan and say goodby to all pre-sets.
Is there anywhere I can get the radio manual ? ? Hopefully an online download? ?
Perplexed and frustrated in BC.
W.Y.

Hello,
Ive searched the forums up and down to try and see how to install an aftermarket deck into a 1997 Hyundai Sonata. So far ive had no luck. I tried using the hints from the other 'deck removal posts' but nothing worked. If anyone can help me on how to get my stock head unit out, and my new one in, please respond.
Thanks In Advance ...

Has anyone installed a new stereo in a Tucson yet?
I've looked around the web, but cannot find any guides.
I ordered a dash kit, but the instructions make no sense; it's like they have printed directions for another model; NONE of it makes sense.
Thanks a bunch!

Hi - I'm wanting to replace the stock am/fm/cassette in my 01 Elantra (just purchased used) with the single din 96170-26300SF MODEL# H-260KUS or H-265 from 03 or later. I'm looking on ebay for a used one - do they have any theft codes? A guy on ebay is saying that Hyundai has not used theft codes since 1993. Any info on this? Thanks!

Hi all. I'm hoping someone can help me. I just purchased a 2005 Hyundai Elantra with the basic cassette player. I looked online at best buy and circuit city for a cd/mp3 player. They have a program to see if they have any players that will fit. According to both sites nothing fits. Does anyone know what cd/mp3 player would fit my car and possibly why it would say that nothing fits?
Thank you in advance for your assistance.

I have a 2001 Hyundai Santa Fe. I love the car, but the radio is one of my few complaints. I don't think the problem is in the radio itself, because I have swapped it out, and still have problems.
If nothing is plugged into the lighter sockets, the radio is fine, but if certain devices get plugged in, I get interference. My cell phone is one example, causing interference on the AM if it is charging through the car lighter. A couple of years ago, I asked my dealer about this (when I still had the factory unit), and his response was basically, "I dunno." We tried other cars on the lot, and they all had the same problem. So, I figured I just had to learn to live with it, and not plug in the cell phone while driving.
I just put in a new stereo, though, and I'm still having problems. I switched out my factory unit for a Dual brand stereo at Best Buy. This unit has an iPlug for directly connecting MyFi's, iPod's, etc. The unit is much better than the factory unit (louder and clearer). However, when I plug in my XM MyFi and switch to Aux on the radio, I immediately get lots of line noise, which changes as I speed up or down. If I disconnect the power to the MyFi (from the car lighter socket), and just run off the MyFi battery, the sound is crystal clear. If I so much as touch the male end of the direct connect wire to the line out on the MyFi car adapter, I get the interference. So, it appears to be something with the Hyundai electrical system.
Does anyone have any idea what is wrong, and how I can fix it? I was really looking forward to improved XM sound quality through the direct connection, but instead it is even worse.

Hey y'all... New to the forums, so hello!
My question is this: Does anybody know if I can simply use a Y-split rca cable to connect my iPod mini to my factory stereo (H280)? Looking for a simple direct-connect and not sure if there are inputs in the back of the stereo. Oh, if it matters, I have a 2003 Tiburon GT.
Thanks!

Just recently brought a '99 Lantra Sportswagon (secondhand) and I have found that the CD player is fudged. Basically, it needs me to input the security code, which I have on the card that comes with it. However, that code does not work. The CD player is the Philips RC 604. Is it possible that the previous owner could've changed the code? If so, is it possible to set it back to factory default? Any help would be great

I'm currently installing a set of front fog lights to a 1996 Lantra Sportswagon. I've found the rear fog light relay unit and plan to use this to drive a separate front fog light relay unit. However I could really use a wiring diagram to see if the front fog light wiring isn't already in place, and what is the best place to break into existing wiring.
I've spoken to the local Hyundia service centre and they weren't much help. Does anyone know where I can find a wiring diagram for a 1996 Lantra Sportwagon?

I'm looking for the wiring diagrams for the ignition and cranking mechanism. Trying to DIY a starter button and a high-beam triggered kill switch, so if anyone knows the wires I need, give me a heads up. Usually I'd just go in there and start splicing things, but the wife would kill me if I did that =(

Installed a Panasonic Radio in my 2001 Accent last night.
Had two wires coming from the DIN wiring harness that were described as (1) Dimmer positive & (2) illumination negative. There were no wires coming from the radio harness that were labeled to meet these wires.
After installation (not hooking these wires to anything) my dash lights would not illuminate. Should I just short these two wires together??
Thanks
