I want to clarify a few things.
I ask this because I see troopers with radars on the rear window a lot.
I am pretty sure he cannot LASER me while moving. Can he?
Now. Are laser detectors illegal?

Hey everybody , i'm new here in this forum and i'm a new hyundai owner ..
i am planning on installing a subwoofer to my 05 Accent and was thinkin of the 12" Kenwood KFC 1202DVC .. or the JBL GTO 1202D .. both are dual voice coils and supposed to be 300 W rms .. the difference in the price is very big so i'm wondering if the sound quality is also so different ..

I want to get a sub and amp put in my boot and was looking at a 12" sub and amp set up. However, i have read around about 12" subs not being particularly crisp in their sounds...giving more of a wop sound that a clean bass sound. I have also been told that 10" is a better choice.
I listen to a lot of rock and heavy metal so double bass drumming etc is plentiful so i...

I bought a 2003 coupe/tiburon yesterday, ive got a new flipout dvd player thingy to go in as soon as a new ISO adapter arrives. The multimeter is above the stock cd player, so when ive got the new one in, the screen will hide the multimeter.
My question is (before i try myself) can i swap over the positions of the units, so the multimeter is on the bottom instead?
Also, where are the...

Does it have the RCA outputs so I can run an amp from the factory setup?
If not...do I have to get a line converter to run an amp and sub in there?

Want to upgrade sound in 07 Sante Fe. Will factory amp power decent replacement speakers?
Thinking of starting with just the rear's. Do the front door speakers have a built in cross over for the tweeters or ? Don't really want to mess with a new head or adding an amp, am wondering if I'll get improved sound with just new speakers.
Anyone know the watts output for factory...

Does anyone else have the problem with their after market radio that it will lose the memory (saved stations/stereo setup) and be turned off when you get into the car. This doesn't happen every time the car shuts off, just randomly. I checked the wiring to make sure it was hooked up right and the were no lose wires, so I'm at a loss. Thank you for your help.

I bought my fiancee a Sirius receiver for her birthday, and instead of getting ripped off and having someone else install it, I was wondering how involved it would be to install it myself. She does not want to swap her existing (factory) head unit out, and my understanding is that the model she has does not have an AUX in. Hers is just the base CD player for the GLS.
Does anyone...

I want to install a new after-market stereo deck in my 2004 Santa Fe. Neither Best Buy nor HHGregg carries the required harness. Does anyone have any suggestions of where I can go (I live near Cleveland, OH) to get a new deck installed? I want one because I have an iPod and I want to connect through an aux connector, rather than a FM transmitter. The tape deck adapters don't work in this...

First, does anyone know if the factory amp in the '06 Sonata is digital or analog? Second, what wire harness is used to connect an after market radio to the vehicle so all the speakers work with the amp and sub?
Thanks!

Hi, I am new on here and am hoping someone may be able to help me.
I have a 2005 Hyundai Elantra GT (hatchback). I bought it new 2 years ago off the lot. After buying the car I installed a JVC cd player (did not care for the factory one), and all went smooth. No problems at all. I've had the JVC player in my car for nearly 2 years now and decided to install a Pioneer cd player in my...

Hey all, I just got a hold of a 2001 Accent, and the front speakers are blown. I want to replace them, but when i look up the size on Crutchfield, theres no speakers that fit it, just some that you can modify the door panel to fit. I was wondering if anyone has done this, what size they went with and what they had to do to get them to fit. I'll be selling this car to a friend of mine, but only...

Hey folks,
Been looking to swap out the factory Hyundai sound deck with something so I can listen to my iPod. Was thinking of a high level Sony...when I went to Best Buy they said that I'd only be able to use by steering wheel audio controls with a Pioneer deck, and only with a special add-on (that would be an extra $100).
I was just curious if anyone has gotten a...

My tape deck (orignal part that came with the car) won't accept the tape adapter for my iPod or any other cassette. Just ejects the tape, no matter what.
I have a two-hour round trip to commute and have come to rely on my iPod to survive. (I've tried the FM adapter and the sound quality is terrible - I am in the NYC/Philly corridor - too many stations, I guess).

Hi, I just bought a H-100 (97) and the other day I saw that the right rearlight was out. Then I bought a new bulb and changed it, only to discover that the old bulb was fine and the fuse were not. When i changed the fuse it blew up when I turned the lights back on. (the reverselights, brakelights, directionlights, left signlight were fine on both sides when I started). OK, dumb as I was, I changed...

Hey
I recently had a sony cd player (about 22w x 4 RMS pre-amp) and speakers (45w RMS) installed to my accent but the sound is still somewhat shotty. The highs are generally crystal clear but the lows and mids are muddy and muffled. I've also been told underpowering speakers can damage them. So I am looking to get an amp; would a 40w x 4 RMS amp be fine or should i just go for a 50+w x...

I haven't actually pulled the Monsoon model 285 out of my 04 Sante Fe, but have been looking at some pictures of the back of one that I found on Ebay.

What is this for?

I purchased my 2006 Hyundai Accent GLS brand new, and at 11,000 KM's the CD got stuck in the cd player. I figured, no problem. I'll just take it down to the dealer and have them remove it since it's brand new.
