About a week ago I got an email from Hyundai Canada telling me of a few of the new parts coming out for the Hyundai's and knowing that a lot of you down in the States would like some of these parts. I've talked to two of the Dealerships I deal with and both have agreed to take orders from the US. I'll list a few Q/A's that will hopefully answer any question you might have.

Do I need to pull the grill to replace the horns on my "07 Sonata? If so, what is the procedure? I see the 9 easy screws at the top of the grill fascia but it can't be that easy, there's got to be more.

2004 Santa Fe check engine light came on at 37,000 miles. Diagnosed as faulty evap close valve. Replaced at no charge. 2 days later light came back on. Diagnosed as "excessive dirt in cannister filter & close valve" Replaced at cost of $155.46. Dealer would not cover under warranty because "you live on a dirt road." There is no mention in manual as to any warranty...

Is there something we can do to stop the trunk from popping open. Is there a latch or something in the trunk? The remote doesn't work, we use the key.

I went in the dealer today I have a 2000 Hyundai accent and it has less that 100,000 miles. The service specialist said that only the front axles and internal engine lubricated parts are covered. Can someone tell me if anything else is covered?
Thanks

Though the ability to minimize friction is the number one function of a lubricant , there are other major functions that must be considered. Here are some of the basics without getting to technical. A lubricant is likely to be also required to:
Clean- A lubricant must maintain internal cleanliness by suspending contaminants from adhering to components

Here are the facts about 5W-20:
Question: My owners manual species 5W-20 oil. Do I really need to use 5W-20 oil?
Answer: You certainly can use a 5W-20 if you choose to, however you do not need to use a 5W-20 oil. You do not have to use 5W-20 to maintain your warranty, even though some dealership personnel may lead you to believe that you have to use a...

Admins,
just curious what the problem is with the Garage pictures that I used to be able to see. Seems when you try to view a picture now, you get a SQL error and no images.. This way, no one can see mods other members have done...
any chance this will be fixed? (just curious - as it is a beneficial tool IMO)...
Cheers ...

Hello,
I need some advice. What is the 1.5 CRDi / 1.5 CRTD diesel engine like? I had a Citroen C2 HDi (which I do miss) which had a good engine and was fantastic on fuel. Averaged 500 miles to 9 UK gallons. So it averaged about 55 MPG.
From what I have read on various websites people seem to be disappointed with the economy of the Hyundai diesel.
I am...

My wife often complained about her Sonata's weak sounding horn, so I recently bought a Wolo airhorn (bad boy) which is a self contained unit. The manufacturer stated that it is compatable with the stock wiring/relay/horn button in my wife's 2006 Sonata. They mentioned that the 15 amp fuse may need to be upped to 20 amps as the horn draws 9 amps.
My nervous wife called the...

Hi,
I have been reading on the web that if I installed a remote starter on a car that still has factory waranty, the hyundai service center can refuse to repair something broken saying that the remote starter installation voided the waranty. Anybody encountered such a thing.
If this is indeed the case, if I have the hyndai service center install it, will it still keep it's...

The fluid flow from the left (UK - Nearside) windscreen washer jet/nozzle is very poor. Right side is fine, so holes are probably partly blocked on left. Tried paper clip etc. to clean them...no better. Would like to totally remove jets from hood/bonnet and "fettle" them. Can't see how they are secured on the inside of the hood, or what I have to do to release them. (Small access...

My old Toyota is on its last leg, and I can't wait for Hyundai to market a pickup. So I have to make do with what's on the market.
I need a Tacoma-sized truck with double cab, automatic, and a 150+hp 4cyl engine. Everything else is negotiable. It will be used mostly for suburban driving, with an occasional 50 mile trip. I will not be doing any towing with it, and decent...

To date, we have been satisfied with the quality of our new Santa Fe. We are however disappointed with the quality of service from our local Hyundai dealership and we are wondering what we (and other Hyundai owners who are in a similar situation) can do to raise the quality of service bar for our dealerships.
Our Santa Fe is the first new car that we have owned, so I must admit we...

I'm replacing my spark plugs myself on my 2004 Hyundai Accent 1.6L DOHC. I bought NGK-BKR5EGP spark plugs from advance auto parts.
Link to site -
After you click on the site it says nothing about the spark plugs being pre-gapped. I get home, open up the box, ha and it says 'Do not adjust spark plug gap due to possible damage to the center electrode.'...
