My old Toyota is on its last leg, and I can't wait for Hyundai to market a pickup. So I have to make do with what's on the market.
I need a Tacoma-sized truck with double cab, automatic, and a 150+hp 4cyl engine. Everything else is negotiable. It will be used mostly for suburban driving, with an occasional 50 mile trip. I will not be doing any towing with it, and decent...

To date, we have been satisfied with the quality of our new Santa Fe. We are however disappointed with the quality of service from our local Hyundai dealership and we are wondering what we (and other Hyundai owners who are in a similar situation) can do to raise the quality of service bar for our dealerships.
Our Santa Fe is the first new car that we have owned, so I must admit we...

I'm replacing my spark plugs myself on my 2004 Hyundai Accent 1.6L DOHC. I bought NGK-BKR5EGP spark plugs from advance auto parts.
Link to site -
After you click on the site it says nothing about the spark plugs being pre-gapped. I get home, open up the box, ha and it says 'Do not adjust spark plug gap due to possible damage to the center electrode.'...

Hello from a complete novice mechanic!
I decided that $150 was too much to spend at a shop for a sparkplug replacement on my 2005 Accent, so I'm going to try it myself. Everything looks pretty straightforward except the "gap" part. I just picked up some Champion RC10YC4 plugs at the store ($7!!!) and am almost ready to go to work. Just looking...

I see that some forum members have yet to negotiate a price on their new vehicle.
We took the advice offered by Consumer Reports and obtained the wholesale invoice price for our Santa Fe before we met with the salesperson. That $40 CDN was the best money that we could have spent.
In the end we saved more than $1400 off of the MSRP. The whole negotiating process...

I have noticed that my car whines . My mechanic checked the wheel bearings and they are oK. It is very noticable when I drive the car. I have a 140,000 miles on the vehicle at the present time. . The transmisions was fixed by the dealer when it was 88000 miles.
Does anyone have a similar problem with their 2000 Hyundai accent?
Thank you.

I just bought a 2008 Sonata from City World Hyundai in the Bronx NY. After $1,000 rebate and $500 discount by financing thru Hyundai, the GLS 4cyl automaticcomes to $15,000 plus tax, title, fees = $16,444. I financed thru Hyundai with the intent of making two payments and paying the whole balance so I could get the $500 discount. The car looks great, dealer staff...

Vehicle drives normally in 3 gears, changing up and down fine. I would put my...

But in the United States, rival Hyundai Motor Co. may well be at the top of Toyota's list.

Traditionally, Hyundai is considered a "cheap" automaker. People see you driving Hyundai and think - he drives this car because he cannot afford anything better.
Sonata is a mid-size sedan. It's not the cheapest but at the same time not the most expensive Hyundai so this post might show how poor the average Hyundai owner is.
So, what's your average...
