Greetings All;
We purchased our 09 Sante Fe Ltd. AWD in December. It has 901 miles on it and the wheel sensor went. Had to bring it in to get it replaced, under warranty. Anybody heard of this? Otherwise we love the car. Great car for a pretty great price. Wish it had back-up sensors. That's an unforgivable omission, imho.

Hello fellow Hundai owners,
Found this forum today so I thought I'd join and learn more about Hyundai's. I live and work in Southern Ontario, Canada. Last week I ordered a '10 Santa Fe Limited with nav. I had been looking around for a few months because the lease on my '06 Chevy Equinox will be up soon. I was fully prepared to buy a '10 Equinox, but i got into a minor collision, and the rental I got was an '09 Mitsubishi Outlander. While the ride was more "small car" than I prefer, it made me realize that there are other companies producing quality vehicles than Ford and GM. ( I've owned quite a few of them over the years).
So I started looking around. After looking at comparable CUV's from Toyota, GM, Ford, Honda, Nissan, Mitsubishi, Chrysler, and Kia, I wandered into my local Hyundai dealer. I liked the looks of the Santa Fe right away. I was also impressed with the quality of the interior materials used and the fit and finish of the entire vehicle.
What really sold me on the Santa Fe was the test drive. The combination of the 3.5 L V6 and the six-speed shiftronic transmission left me thrilled. This engine has way more power than a lot of the other vehicles I tested and was really a lot of fun to drive. The ride and handling are also very good. The combination of the smaller turning radius and the 3 turns lock-to-lock of the steering wheel makes for a very agile vehicle.
This car is a terrific value for the dollar. The list price of this CUV (loaded) is already several thousand dollars cheaper than the comparably equipped Equinox I was intending to buy. After the salesman told me about the $3500 off from Hyundai and then added several incentives of his own, I left the dealership to think about it; but I already knew I'd be back to order one.
I get my new granite blue Santa Fe in about five or six weeks.
Can't wait!

Hi there. My name is Andrew and I live in Portsmouth in the UK. I’ve been the forth registered keeper of a used Hyundai XG30 registered in 09/2000 since November 2009 and I’ve just joined the forum today.
Until this week it’s been a really reliable car for me, nice and comfortable and survived our harsh winter without a single issue. When I purchased the car it had done just over 69.5K with a full Hyundai service history, other than giving it a service which was due it hasn't needed any attention and used virtually no oil or water in the five thousand miles I’ve driven it. I’m really pleased with it considering how cheap it was to buy.
I'm just in the process of sorting out the first couple of issues that cropped up last week, I had to fit a new MAF sensor as the MPG plummeted and it chucked out large clouds of smoke under acceleration. I ordered the sensor from “Driven 2 Automotive” on EBay for £45 which seemed really reasonable compared to other prices I found for the part on the internet and it arrived quickly through the post.
Now the new one is fitted on the car everything is back to normal apart from the idle once the car is warm, the revs rise and fall for a while before the car eventually stalls. When the car is in drive or warming up from cold it is absolutely fine. I have temporarily bodged this problem by setting the idle for about 1100 rpm on the accelerator position sensor until I get a chance to try and find out what has happened.
Hopefully I’ll get the chance to work on it over the weekend to find out where the fault lies. Some of the vacuum hoses under the engine cover have definitely seen better days so I think I’ll start there and work on. A borrowed fault code reader tells me that I have error P0115 an engine coolant temperature circuit malfunction so will check it over with a multi meter to try and trace the problem before I buy a new sensor to see if this helps. Thanks to forums like this and the American HMA service website there is a lot of information online to help a DIYer like me along the way.
So fingers crossed I'll be able to fix it and I'll let you know how I get on in case anyone else has a similar issue.
Anyway happy motoring to you all!
Kind regards,
Andy

In an effort to reduce our expenses, my wife and I traded in our 2008 Toyota Prius and 2008 Chevrolet HHR SS in on a new 2009 Elantra GLS late last year. I was skeptical about the Hyundai brand, but a friend was a dealer and cut us a good deal on the car.
I've been super impressed with the car! I even caught myself eyeing a 2011 Sonata the other day.

Hi all,
Just ordered a brand new white Limited w/o Navi. Looking forward to hearing good and bad comments from everyone, especially (hopefully) some Canadian content and comments. I will get my new ride in about 6 weeks, as dealer did not have what I wanted on the lot. I am new to the Hyundai brand, but everyone I know who has one speaks very highly of them. Hoping I made the right decision...

Just posted a mechanical question...seems like my Elantra isn't accelerating quickly
after shifting.
I'm also getting wear on the outside of the driver's side front tire, so it's
time for an alignment...
anyone have a preference on who does good alignment work?
Thanks

HI,
I am expecting delivery of a new Tuscon 2 liter petrol tomorrow. This will be the first Hyundai I will own. Previous cars include Ford 1600 sport, XR3, VW Golf, VW Passat, Masda 626, Audi and two Renault Scenics. Other cars on my yard is Vauxall Corsa, Fiat Pand and a Honda Jazz. I trust I did not make an error going for the Hyundai now.
Car was not delivered as expected as the air conditioer was not working. On investigation they discovered that there were no gas in the system and they do not have the capability to fill the gas. This will now be done tomorrow. It seems that the dealer bought the car from another dealer and assumed that the Pre Delivery Inspection was done.
Not a good start for building confidence in the reliability of Hyundai products.

I am not good in fixing cars or taking them apart, but the minor problems that appears from time to time I manage to fix. I stumble across this forum when looking for some help in a bulb replacement.
The wife bought herself a new Hyundai I10 just two week ago.

Hi , I am a newe ember from Austraila and the lucky owner of a 2005 Terrican 2.9 CRD. I love this vehicle, but have a problem that the dealer cannot rectify. Occasionally, I have a temporary loss of power for a few seconds, which is disturbing as it can happen at the wrong time. Has anybody else had this problem and what is the fix for this.
Thanks fo any info. Cheers,
Tamey

Hi everyone, I'm a new member and new to posting on forum's so bear with me please.
I have an 2000 Amica GSi auto. The car occasionally belches black smoke and is down on power.
Our local garage has flushed some pipes and replaced a heavily oiled air filter, but has found not fault.
There are no warning lights.
The car has only covered 12,000 miles & does short (<10 mile) journeys as a rule.
Any suggestions welcome

Hey, what's going on? I just joined the forums. I drive an 09' Hyundai Accent GS. I've only done a few basic things to it but I am getting ready to turbocharge it and do a few things to help it handle better. I built an intake for it, changed all the amber blinkers to clear, and removed the black honeycomb grill from the front. I posted a few pics.

Hi, I'm Chris
I have a 2001 Accent GS, 3dr 5-sp, 1.6l dohc. I really like it. I bought it used. My Dad who is in his eighties now, bought a 2000 (I think) Elantra GT.
No real issues with either car. I had a crank sensor fail, and a bad misfire from old plug wires (separate problems).
Before the Accent I had a Dodge Colt, built by Mitsubishi. I believe the original Hyundai Excel was based on a Mitsubishi as there was an identical Mitsubishi model (The Mirage maybe?). and the 1.5l 3 valve engine reminds me of the one in my Colt.
Love the hatchbacks I like to bicycle, camp, or at times end up having to haul some big thing and it usually fits, which sometimes amazes people that are used to bigger cars.
Chris

just wanted to say hi to everyone! just trading in my altima for an 07 elantra with 28k since ive decided to go back to school. i loved my altima but 16 mpg in the city is not longer cuting it. my biggest dilema is the lack of aftermarket support even though i didnt buy this car to mod i had to search it out anyways. i was suprised scarceness of parts, seems like you can get the simplest of **** for anything now a days. oh well like i said didnt buy it to mod just to get me through school without any issues.

Hey everyone, I am looking forward to getting some great ideas and writing up some good DYIs on some custom audio/video installations for the 2006+ Hyundai Sonatas. I just bought mine a few months ago, and already installed a Kenwood DDX-516 In-Dash DVD Receiver with iPod Audio/Video. Now the custom box is being designed and constructed to house the one 12" American Bass VFL Subwoofer and Massive Audio Nano Block N3 Amp, about to be installed. This and I am trying to get this all done by this Friday. Spring Break Nationals is in Daytona Beach, this weekend!
Look for pics w/ write-up coming soon!
FYI: If anyone has any questions about audio, video, car electronics, and/or alarm questions, I own a local, mobile shop:
CarAudioOrlando.comI look forward to being engaged in this forum!
Thanks!

Hello friends. I need some help with my front hub bearing removal and installation. I looked at the pictures at the autoparts store and need to know if the tools needed are as follows: pulley puller and a snap ring tool. Has anyone else done this before? I believe that I can do the job myself. Just need to know what tools are needed. Thank you for all your help!
