Gidday Guys,
I've got a 91 pony pickup thats meant to have a 1300cc but now has a 1439cc engine, what would be the engine code? Can't seem to find it on the block or head.
I want to fit an autochoke, and replace the clutch or the engine back to standard.
What 1300cc engine will bolt in?
Ps it's RWD (rear wheel drive)
Thanks for looking...

Hi,
I own one of these beasts which I imported form the Sultanate of Oman last year (thought it was a good idea at the time!!), it is a 1999 2.5TD Galloper II LWB LHD. I have managed to get it registered in the UK after about 4 or 5 months real hassle. It was done as a personal import but because the rulues in the UK have changed I couldnt just put tape over the lights, they had to be...

Hello everybody,
I have XG 350 and I can't start it. Some guys from dealership told me it can be a computer problem.
I bought the car with broken ignition lock. I changed this lock with cylinder and got new keys. To programme these keys I brought my car to Hyundai center. They tried to re-programme, but problem is that these keys don't communicate with computer and they are...

I want to change my old car radio (Pony 4D 1994).
I find two screws located in the ash tray, but that doesn't seem to be enough to be able to take the radio off. The dash trim panel should be removed first.
Are there other hidden screws somewhere else, or what should I do to be able to remove the original car radio?
There are no hidden screws behind the buttons you will found on...

Hi. I'm a new member looking for some advice. I live in Surrey in the UK. I own a Hyundai Pony 1.3 GL 1990. I've always messed about with cars and also own a Mk1 Golf GTI , a Mazda Xedos 6, and an Evante. The Pony didn't cost much and until now has been useful and reliable. Unfortunately I think a bearing has gone in the gearbox, and its just after I've given the cylinder head an...

Hey there all, i am very new to this. i have accuired a x2 pony 1.3 spritza, i think it is fuel injection, but could be wrong. it unfortunately has a small power fault, tends to miss slightly under acceleration, new plugs and leads have been fitted, but that hasnt seemed to have cured it. i was wondering if anyone has any techincal specification, such as timings etc, or some general advice.

I have a 2001 Galloper diesel, witch suddenly refuesed to start!
It turns the engine, but it does not start. The timing belt is ok, and nothing seems to be wrong.
The conclusion is that it does not get fuel to the engine, that we think is because the key has somehow been decoded and does not send the code to the fuel mechanism.
I could start it yesterday...

Hi there, wonder if anyone can help. My Hyundai pony is misbehaving slightly. It starts most of the time but on cold mornings like today. I turn the ignition and get rapid clicking sound and nothing else. I then get annoyed and walk to work. 9 times out of 10 I get home and the car starts first time. Any ideas? Is it just the cold? I keep the car garaged..

My Galloper diesel battery was stone dead yesterday. We called a towing company to come and give me a boost. I let the truck run for 30 minutes to recharge it, and when I went outside this morning, the battery was dead again.
Nothing was left on to kill the battery. Do diesels have a problem with killing batteries? Or did the dealership fail to mention that I would have to replace it?

I have a 1991 Hyundai LS mpi and it has been a great little car and has 189,000 kilometres on the clock. Could'nt break it with an axe. I own a '98 Galloper which has recently developed gearbox problems. Sometimes you will get 10 good gear changes, then a very bad change for the next few. It doesn't seem to matter if the gearbox is hot or cold. Occasionally it's as if the clutch hasn't engaged at all. Other times it will be difficult to engage a gear & just crunch into gear. Also it happens mostly going into...

I just bought a H'pony, I have some engine problems but I would be interested to hear if anyone else has experience of 'Safety Grooves' on their windscreen. The car was brought over from Finland and apparently they all get these weird grooves ground onto their windscreens and then the wipers get cleaned by the groove each time they wipe. It all sounded like Scandinavian madness to me...
