Why would you want to go through the trouble of removing all of this stuff? Once the subscription is canceled the bluelink is shut down. It will not work at all, even for emergency use. Or remove the telematics fuse.

I don't know that you can since it's integrated into the nav. Anythings possible but as the above member indicated, why would you? Anyone with a smart phone (cell) is being tracked with gps these days.

It can in deed be removed. The link to the Navi is just a communication from Telematics to Audio over the Media CAN and MOST networks. Removing the Telematics unit alone wouldn't create any problems in the vehicle except CAN codes in the various modules, but not severe enough to turn on any warning indicators as the CAN communication will still exist since the TMU is not a gateway.

Good luck with whatever you choose, beware if you have any electrical issues with your vehicle as it will be at the dealer, DPSM and HMA to determine if they'll continue to warranty the vehicle. Removing major modules tied to various other modules is something they will not like.

I wondered how I missed the BlueLink spiel when I bought mine. I assumed it did but since this is the third Hyundai I have purchased in the last year, they knew how I felt about BlueLink. I guess I should take a closer look at the mirror instead of just for the garage openers.

OP sounds like he is either committing a crime or already has with this Equus, because there is literally no other reason to be that paranoid about being tracked.

Or maybe just super paranoid about being tracked, maybe thats why he doesn't post anymore, worried about NSA?

i want to remove the blue link on my Elantra GT as well. I've never activated it and have no intention too. It really screws up trying to get a remote start, i have been waiting since I purchased the car 10k miles ago. I do not have a proximity key and currently there are no factory solutions because of the "Big Blue-link" watching me...
