2007 entourage alternator

A friend is changing this for this weekend. Any tips, tricks, or advice? Also, what is a reasonable amount to pay them?
Thank you!
PS bought with 118,xxx last May. Now at 133,xxx should I also change the serpentine belt?

2hr shop rate is about right..

Best done on rack through bottom

Drive belt, we change them maybe every 60,000 mile

OK... So she has the bolts removed, the tension pulley and belt off, the ground disconnected, and can't get it to remove. The wire harness is connected still but not the issue. Any ideas?

Alternator stuck on mounts.. the 2 bolt actually pull a sleeve onto mount to "pinch" it in place.. put the 2 bolt back in part way and tap the bolt in sharply to push sleeve back away a small amount to alternator loose in place,, remove bolts again remove alternator

Did you try to get alternator out from the bottom or top?

Top. We do not have a rack to lift it
