00000732 Welcome to the forums!

"Just over" may get you a favorable judgement call from a benevolent dealer. Perhaps the one you purchased from. As a rule of thumb, it's 5 years, 60,000 for bumper-to-bumper. 10 year, 100,000 power train warranty. If you have the extended warranty, it's covered. If you're in Canada, it is different. Check your owner's manual.

To help, possibly, have you checked the fuse for that seat. Look under your driver's side. Pull down the cover, and you'll find your fuses. In your owner's manual will be a diagram of the fuse layout. There, also, may be one on the back of the panel you removed.

Find that fuse, remove it, and see if the metal element inside looks broken. There may be a fuse puller under your hood located inside another fuse box near the fender on the driver's side. Lift the cover to see. The fuse will be inserted in a slot alongside the other fuses.

At least this is how it's done on the Elantra's I've owned.

I hope it's the fuse. I would also try to find out what caused it to blow. If it happens again, have it checked out. There are spares under the dash. Good luck.

One other thought: check under the seat and make sure the connections are good on the connectors.

No location seen in profile to display under your username in box there at left,, though mileage posted as "Km",, I suspect this is not a USA car which will have 5yr/60,000 mile in USA warranty.

Did we cram a bunch of bulky stuff under seat ?

Did we vacuum under seat with big nozzle on end of hose ?

Look under seat for connector unplugged that supply power to run the seat motors.. Once in great while we see switch fault..

check the fuses. (SBR, is there even a power seat fuse?)

The power seat fuses are in the engine fuse box, not the cabin fusebox by the drivers knee.

Unfortunately, it's a combined fuse for the driver and passenger seats. So if only one seat isn't working, it's unlikely to be the fuse.

If you still feel like checking, it's multifuse B+2:

Ditto what the others have said. Check the wiring connectors under the seat to make sure there isn't an issue there. As a Dealer I can tell you that we see a LOT of cases (GM) where people have jammed things under the seat that either disconnect or damage the wiring and other components. Damage of that type would not be covered by any vehicle warranty. I do not recall what is underneath my Santa Fe's seats, but many manufacturers now hide electronic components under there so it is really a bad idea to ever try to put something under the seats. Damage the special wiring connector on the sensing / diagnostic module for the air bag system if it is located under there and you may have a VERY bad day :)

I hear you, seen plenty of cars with junk all over the place especially under the seats. But I know for a fact there hasn't been so much as a sheet of paper on the floor of this car. For the last week I have been driving this car, as mine is in the body shop. So I have been adjusting the seat anytime I take the car out. Yesterday none of the buttons where working. Ive checked the fuse, I doubt its the motor. I think its the wiring or the switch itself. Just wondering if anyone else had this issue and what was there fix for it. Thanks.

Update. So I had sometime to look at the seat today. I notice the lumbar button was stuck. So I checked the fuse under the hood but thats a 60amp fuse block. So I went back in the car and checked the fuse panel under the dash. Sure enough there is a Driver and Passenger seat fuse. 30amp for the driver and 20 for the passenger. I assume after the lumbar button got stuck, it eventually popped the fuse. So I grabbed a spare from under the hood and the seat now works perfect again. I tried to duplicate the lumbar button sticking but it would stick. So I guess its all good now.

That'll do it every time. Surprised that no one noticed that the lumber was run all the way in one direction or another? One would think that would be the result of the button being stuck. Then again....Perhaps in that stuck position in created a dead short within the switch and blew the fuse before the lumber mechanism ran fully in whichever direction the switch was stuck.
