Rodent will get into any car.. our old Svc Mgr son had a GM SUV that rodents (they said squirrel, as they came eye to eye with it under hood) destroyed wire harness on engine, and went to trans also.. former GM Master in shop got that project.. we had a Sonata (YF) that got harness destroyed, and clogged up the HVAC fresh air inlet above the HVAC filter with large insulation ball, stuck almost out opening into cowl area

They do more than that. I used to drive my daughter to school every morning in South Florida and see the same woman jogging along side a canal near a park. This went on for months, until one day I didn't see her anymore. I mentioned it to my wife at the time, then we read in the paper she was missing. Turns out she was dragged into the canal and partially eaten by an alligator. Very sad.

Parts dept happy with retail sale of wire harness, tech has customer pay job, provided it not an insurance job where insurance dictate they pay below wholesale labor time..

Seen that a great many times at our GM Dealership. Worst cases are when you have it repaired but do not catch the rodent and a week later you have the same expensive repair to do over again....
