2014 santa fe tail uses 1157 bulb dual filament. The outer tail and trunk tail use this bulb. They are both on when you switch on the light. When I brake only the outer part lights up. What's the point of using 1157 on the trunk part? Does it light up on hard braking line the BMW does?
The tailgate or inner brake lights only light if you have LED tail lights installed. The dual filament bulb is used for running lights and there probably is a connection missing in the housing to prevent the brake from coming on. The harness however seems to support the brake light if LED units are installed. After I installed after market LED tail lights, I now have all brake lights activated.
