So have had the SF for 3 months now and almost 3000 miles. I have been running with the ECO button on the whole time. I have constantly got 24 mpg (dash) / 22 mpg (manually calculated) the whole time with 100% city driving. Got gas yesterday and decided to try a tank full without the ECO button on. I immediately noticed that it drove better, so much better it really felt like a different car. Engine was smoother and the transmission shifted better. Then I noticed the dash mpg were about 2 mpg better than normal, showing 26 mpg. I will run this tank to see if the mpg stay higher but I sure do like the way it drives so much better.
How can this be? Could our mpg problems be because whatever the ECO button does it is doing it incorrectly?
Anyone else try with the ECO button off for an extended period of time?
