Per their CEO, pricing will be announced "late July" for the Sport model. My best guess is pricing will be very similar to the current Kia Sorrento, maybe even a bit higher. Because of strong demand in the CUV/SUV market a lot of the redesigns are rising sharply in price(Sorrento, Escape etc). Hopefully they announce pricing for the LWB model at the same time.

There should be a press release within a week announcing pricing, colors & options packages & the Hyundai USA web site update with build & price for the 2013 Santa Fe.

UK prices have recently been released and the increase is 7% for the base model but because their are now 3 trims instead of 2, the top model has increased by 30%

A 30% price increase here would put the Limited model well over $40,000...that's Genesis V8 territory and more than the Kia Sorento. I'm guessing prices will be closer to those of the Sorento.

It will be overpriced when first released. You are best to wait 6 months after release.

It's not 30% on Limited price levels - when the 2010 models came out, Hyundai UK only retained the GLS and CDX trim levels (now called Style and Premium) but dropped the top 2 trim levels, CDX+ and Limited. As I posted, the UK will get the 3rd trim level restored on the 2013 which is 30% up on the previous 2nd level.

The new model is expected to be higher quality cabin materials and equipment than the Sorento - if it is then the extra money will be justified - if not then they have a major pricing issue!

Price

So it looks like the Sorento is priced $23K to ~$33K. From the talk here the top of the line Santa Fe Sport could be close to $40K.

Kind of crazy for a small/midsize SUV.

I will be buying by the end of the year and the list to decide from right now is the Murano, Edge and the SF. Maybe even the Escape but might be a little too small. Would like to get a top of the line model for a bout $30.

With delivery and the premium package, the Sorento tops out at 37400. Premium package includes the panoramic sunroof and navigation, among other features. I'm thinking with all options, the new Santa Fe will top out around 38 and change. Can't wait for the press release, the anticipation is getting to me. So many different cars I want, but almost all of them aren't coming out until later this year, or the begininng of next year.

IMHO, the navigation is absolutely a feature to avoid because it is too expensive comparing to the the options available on the market.

The only official voice I have heard from Hyundai is that the LWB base model will be "well below $30k". I have no idea about the $ delta with the Sport model in USA. We just need to wait a few more days.
