The Odometer correction on my 2014 Santa Fe is about 2% (When it says you have gone 100 miles you have really gone only 97.9). So the MPG is low when you calculate by hand.
We had 4 people (2 adults, 1 toddler and 1 baby) and luggage for a week (insane amount for kids) and travelled >2000 km in a week but stayed at around 110 km/h and was able to average 8.5 l/100km as displayed in the car. That's the best I've been able to get.
To clarify my results, the SF has 18k miles on the odometer. We used regular unleaded top tier fuel during the drive. I have been using full synthetic 10w-30 (Kendall GT-1 with liquid titanium) since I dumped the factory fill.
