Light Throttle Hesitation

We have a 2017 Santa Fe 3.3 L. When I accelerate, under light throttle, the engine seems to hesitate slightly and occasionally "burps" ( for lack of a better word to describe this). Our daughter has the same car and it acts the same. Is this a common malady and if so, can it be corrected? Both cars have less than 2,000 miles on them.
Thanks John

I do not know if this is relevant but if I have my foot on the brake the least bit, when accelerating, it hesitates. This happens when turning left, if I don't get off the brake complete it doesn't go.

Yes this happens to me as well! Glad I'm not the only one. I took it to the dealer but they couldn't feel it during their road test (which I don't think was very extensive), and none of their diagnostic tests flagged anything. I didn't have a lot of time so I let it go for now. It's definitely not in ECO mode when this happens. I have ~2000 miles on it.

The service rep did say they're working on a software update for the transmission. If it is a trans issue, then hopefully that will take care of it. He wasn't sure when the update would be made available but they would notify me when it's in. I'll update the thread when I find out more.

That said, I would make an appointment with service and let them know you're having this problem. It's best to get as many complaints logged as possible to make sure Hyundai is addressing this specific issue.

I have the same problem and I'm in Canada and my dealer has no clue about this TCU update, anyone have done it in Canada? I'm using Autoguide so I can't tell if members have done it in Canada, this is very annoying to me and I would like to have it fix if it's possible.

I brought mine in yesterday because my moonroof is creaking and they said there was a recall on the transmission software. So, I got that done too. No noticeable difference. My hesitations were rare to begin with. My question is, has anybody heard of a software update being an actual recall? Usually it's just a TSB.

I have the same issue, 2017 SF with only 1500 miles, it feels like maybe bad gas so I went from regular to premium and still the same.
Hesitation and feels like running out of gas, sometimes if feels jerky. Transmission very hesitant to downshift from 6th to 5th gear going up a slight hill also. I will take it in soon because its very annoying, I only use the Normal mode and regardless of what mode it should not be happening.
