Rear swap went perfect. Advance Auto had to order the front rotors & pads, the ticket shows the correct vehicle. Rotors fit correctly. Went to swap pads - problem - too small. Their pads were about 5-1/4" eat to ear, Santa Fe 6-1/8" ear to ear. The pads they gave me were for single piston brakes, mine are dual pistons.
Having a real hard time finding the correct pads - anyone got any answers for me? My Santa Fe is front wheel drive.
Did you visit your local Hyundai dealer of chioce' parts counter for pads ? Have VIN in hand so they can pull number from catalog as called by Hyundai Motor
No because of the way I was treated, told half truths and talked down to I have not set foot on their property since & never will. Had I not been in dire straights to replace my car (rear ended by a cop looking at his computer, he admitted it) for a long trip the salesman & service manager would have been told exactly where to put their Santa Fe. If I can't find after market locally I'll visit an out of town dealer.
Advance, O'Rilley & Auto Zone all had single piston pads for the front even though the replacement calipers on their sites were dual piston. Go figure. Each stores employees were really nice & helpful but couldn't figure it out.
Given the same information NAPA had the right pads the first time.
NAPA part number SS-8322-X, Premiums cost $50.40.:clap:
