Chances of a larger SUV???

We have been very happy with Hyundai, but we wish they would make a larger SUV that had three rows while still having a spacious cargo area. We have a family of five and frequently go places with our parents so we need seating for 7. Then we need room in the back for the stroller and groceries as well as other items.

I had hoped that the longer Santa Fe would be bigger than it turned out to be so we may have to look at Suburbans or Expeditions, though I hate to leave Hyundai and their warranty and quality.

The long wheel base is coming out soon. It's already out in other countries. It is longer than the Sport and has a third row, among other differences.

I though it was already out...the LWB. Even so, it seems like the trunk area would be somewhat small, if you're looking for suburban type trunk space. You could buy a van? AWD Sienna, if you feel like you need AWD.

You can't get a stroller and groceries behind the third row in the LWB. Just not enough room.

I see the LWB as being able to use the third row in a pinch to haul someone but it certainly is not a vehicle that I would put someone in the third row on a regular basis. Unfortunately, the minivan is the best choice for 7 pax.
Check out post 447 in the LWB thread. http://www.hyundai-forums.com/260-dm...fe-lwb-45.html

Vit was typing at the same time..... Yep, the Toyota Sienna gets my vote. I recently rode in one again and it is super comfortable. The thought even crossed my mind that maybe we should have looked at that one more closely but the wife says she is done with minivans.

So, has anyone seen the Monaco White of the LWB? Is it a pearl paint like Frost White Pearl of the Sport or just a solid white?

The 2014 Dodge Durango (probably to be shown at the New York Auto show in two weeks,a dn on sale in a few months) may be just what you need - not too big, but with enough interior space, rear wheel drive, V8 power, and better mileage and performance in other ways with an 8-speed transmission. It is current top on my list of potential vehicles, with the Explorer Sport and Hyundai the other contenders.
