I'm with Trucker. Rip out every trace of that remote starter, and I'll bet your problem will be solved.
Better yet, buddy up to the dealership mechanic who's been working on your Santa Fe, and explain that you suspect the aftermarket starter which the sales department sold you. Mechanics hate salesmen, especially salesmen who send the product to aftermarket shops for modification. I can almost guarantee that the mechanic will go out of his way to prove you right, and that the service manager will take great pleasure in billing the sales department for all your trouble. I can also say with a high degree of certainty that the dealership will not be selling remote starters just as soon as the owner finds out what happened.
