hi my tailgate spoiler on my 2011 santa fe is busted. i check all the scrap yard and no luck.
do you know where i can find a new one?
is it easy to replace?
thanks
Why don't you start by finding the OEM number. I don't know if the spoiler is a part or an accessory but the dealer would. Once you have the number you can go price shopping if the initial price is too insane. Get on a Hyundai dealer site and search by description in the parts and accessory categories. Random searches for an OEM spoiler are hit and miss. I tried it and missed. Don't waste your time; go to the source. Once you get the part number, searches will work much better. It will undoubtedly be unpainted. I did see some painted aftermarket ones, if painting is a concern.
He probably doesn't have any choice since the spoiler is a factory install on the late model CM Limited series, and he'd have to deal with the wire and mounting holes if he chooses not to replace the damaged unit.
The DISCOUNTED price is 300 bucks for the OEM . OUCH!! What happened to the original, or was there one? If there was, can't a body shop repair it? Orherwise, look for an aftermarket you can live with, forget about it or bite the bullet and order the OEM.My early 07 LTD. has one, stock.
I was looking for the same thing because I thought I'd have to replace the whole spoiler (a tree limb must have fallen on it and cracked it), but at that price, I may just leave it.
