Are you seeing P0011, P0014, P0018 or P0019 error codes?

Your first pic is of the 2.4 (4 cyl)

Second pic is all I come up with too when in the DTC menu, I was staring at pic and then distracted for bit with message, and got in before me..

Pic show wiring for 2 OCV there on Bank 2 there with 1 OCV in the pic.. need to hit the ETM and see what going on..

ETM says (4) oil valve, 2 in, 2 ex....

I believe it was po044, my concern was the location since the dealer will be fixing it. It looks like it screws into the block somewhere. Thanks to you guys

P0024 I could believe. P0044, not so much...

You could disconnect the valve and check to see if there's about 10ohms resistance across it for starters. If that's OK, pull it and see if it's sticky or contaminated in any way. You can hit it directly with 12V (+12 on pin 2, ground on pin 1) to see what it does under power. It should click each time you power it up.

If the valve behaves properly, your problem is likely going to be a bit deeper. Could be a control issue, or a CVVT issue.

what do these oil control valves do and why are you needing those replaced, what happened or what is car doing to cause replacement?

The CVVT (continuously variable valve timing) uses hydraulic control. For CVVT to work, the valve needs to work. I have no idea what the most common failure modes are.
