Not sure which browsers will work with all OS. I have used Firefox on Ubuntu Linux with success, but it is better under Windows. I have found the following work on my PCs:
WinXP Pro-sp3 - IE7, IE8,
Vista Home-sp2 - IE7, IE8, IE9 (IE9 may need to use compatibility view)
Win7 Pro64-sp1 - IE9 (IE9 may need to use compatibility view)
Install the Adobe SVG viewer (works on all my Windows machines, even Win7 Pro64). Ignore obsolete warnings.
Make sure you have the MOST CURRENT Flash Player (v220.127.116.11). The prior Flash version was very buggy and locked up a lot on many Flash enabled web pages, as well as conflicted with various video drivers and other software. I have never had a conflict between any version of Flash and SVG on any machine.
If using a wide-screen monitor, just remember that this application was designed for 4:3 aspect ratio monitors and the images will be small if you are using a big resolution like 1920x1080 on 27". Fortunately, it does allow zoom, but as the images are small, they will pixillate. Setting resolution to 1024x768 will help, but it will distort on wide screen if viewing full screen.
MrVivona has it all right, great tip.
A good print to PDF is PDFCreator 1.2.3 available at pdfforge.org | The free PDF Creator and Converter
. This version allows for using encryption on your documents. It is a great way to save entire discussion threads on forums like this as a PDF since it usually prints webpages in a true WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get).
