Don't laugh at this because I'm being serious.
Buy a pack of Crayola crayons and pick the one that most closely matches the scratched area. The bigger the box of crayons, the more color varieties. Very lightly rub some crayon along the scratch and then rub it with a cloth. Take it slow and add a little at a time. If you get a good color match with the crayon, you may find it hard to see the scratch after, even though you know where it was. Alot depends on how deep it is. Crayons are basically colored wax so they get soft and conform to the surface well.
I've been using the same large box of crayons for years, for similar purposes.
