When I turn the front lights on, there is a rattling/ticking from the passenger side front headlights (UK model). This noise occurs even when the engine is off, as long as the ignition light is on and the lights switched on, the noise appears. Turn the lights off, the noise goes!! I have checked the connections and all seems tight - the lights work fine - has anyone else has this problem and how do I fix it?? Thanks very much for any help.
could it be from the headlight levelling mechanism, there`s a rotating switch in my atos to level the headlights and you could hear an electric motor running when the switch is moved and the headlights beam position moved up and down accordingly, then it stops according to switch position, could it be that your levelling mechanism is faulty, maybe the gears or the motors of this system are malfunctioning so its keeps going, Headlight levelling can only be done when ignition is on, engine could be off so that could be the problem, just guessing.....
Cheers, Al
