Where do you put your phone?

I love my new 2017 Elantra Limited but I am having an issue where to put my iPhone 7 Plus.

When it isn't plugged in, it is fine to put it in the space under the climate controls with the lid closed. However, when I plug it in the cable gets all bent and the phone barely fits. Igot one of those magnet ones that goes on the vent and there are drawbacks. First, I don't need the phone available for me to see. I have the screen on the dash for that. Second, I don't like the idea of giving up a vent for my phone as it covers the entire thing. Then I saw ProClip but to get their solution it would be almost $80.

I was just wondering where you put your phones.

It would be GREAT if the USB inside the middle arm-rest connected to the radio as I would love to put my phone in there.

I have an iPhone 6, and I have a 4" lightning/USB cord from Amazon, so that makes the compartment under the climate controls easier to use. I don't close the lid, though. I just rest the phone inside the compartment while I'm driving, and then when I get out of the car, I take the phone with me and the lid easily closes over the 4" cord.

My phone doesn't fit well in that compartment :-(

That's why I close the lid.

I have never been able to find a good solution for this.

My 2013 Elantra had a compartment on the side of the console but they removed it. I was at the auto show and a lot of manufacturers are now starting to open up that space between the dash and floor. That's the perfect idea.

I have the iphone 6 and just leave it in the compartment where the usb plug is with the lid open. Basically just leaning there. It doesn't interfere with anything and it's easily accessible if I need it.

Since moving to the Moto Z Force I have not needed to plug my phone in while in the car, but when I had my Galaxy S5,6,7 used the cable all the time. I ended up buy a set of these, https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/...?ie=UTF8&psc=1. Fixes that problem and also the problem of losing **** between the seat and the console.

I found a reasonable cool solutionn. What I did was put industrial strengths Velcro above tha closeable compartment, and Velcro on the back of my phone. The top empty space above the compartment is actually slightly wider than the compartment itself, and myself having the lg v20, one of the tallest phablets on the market, it fits perfectly when plugged in. The downside is the plug has to hang out of the compartment, but its so trivial of a problem compared to not having a good spot for the phone, that I dont care. It also helps keep the compartment free for other things! Win win. I can picture it soon but I'm on my phone at the dealer and they have my car lololol

Does a set of legs like the ones pictured come with it?

Thats the exact same problem I have with my LGV20....but luckily I have a flat usb type ccable and closing the compartment helps the issue easily by placing it on the closed compartment or in one of my cupholders

I use a ProClip mount: ProClipUSA.com.

More expensive, yes, but they're custom-made, specific to phone and vehicle integrations. It doesn't rattle, holds great, you can still plug a cord into the bottom of the phone, and you don't lose a vent.

Ram mount X grip, it works with all phones. There are many attachments so it works with any car or bike. It's not cheap though.
