What are you up to? Gonna paint it? I get really curious when an owner wants to pull the engine cver off of a brand new vehicle. LOL

None of my business, I know. But if you have some good mod thing, I want to know. I might try it, too. :wink2:

@jfranklin: To be honest, I've sort of wondered myself. But I know, as CDO as I am, I'd probably get an aneurism if I saw road dust, whatever, underneath. I'd be inside that area with my polishing cloths, cleaning, waxing, detailing, etc.

It's bad enough that I wax the engine cover, dipstick handle, as well the underside of the hood, front cowling, fuse box, etc. Stuff like that!

Maybe I can find the time when I retire. TOMORROW!!!!!!

You're not alone! Once a year during the summer I clean the heck out of the engine bay. I usually take an oily rag after an oil change and wipe that on all the plastic, now that's a shine that lasts a long time!

Nothing worse than a good looking car and you open the hood and it looks like a mini Dust Bowl has been going on. I actually have diagnosed OCD and have been on meds for a number of years so that explains my car quirks!

@ reus49: That ain't a bad idea! Thanks! Hadn't thought of that. Actually, per the missus, I haven't given a lot of thought about anything. What does she know, right?
