Default What DRL?

Mine is the 2013 GT with the T&G package.. On the headlight lever it shows the symbol for low beams, parking lights, then it says DRL/OFF.

I dont have any day time running lights, should I??

I dont want DRL but I am just confused why it says DRL/OFF if I dont even have DRL...

Does your car have a "auto" position for the headlights? That's how I get my DRL's to work.

One short answer.
RTFM.

Not that I do not want to help, but there are some basic things that every car owner should do. Learning about the car, mainly by reading owner's manual, is one of them.

The DRL OFF means no lights are on. For whatever reason DRL comes on only with parking lights. Hence, DRL OFF - all off, parking lights - DRL ON, low beams - DRL OFF and low beams on.

If it was up to me (the design) I would add another one - DRL ON before parking lights, or below ALL OFF so that no confusion what is on. Besides, DRL and parking lights together? Nonsense.

In Canada we don't have "DRL OFF" because it is illegal DRLs turn on without parking lights.

I wish it was same here...
DRL is much better than driving with low beams on (less power used, much better visibility), but well - it is not up to me. Yet.
