I replaced the rubber knob on my base model GT with the leather and chrome knob that comes on the style package. The leather boot is hard to get off. I pulled on the leather until I found a spot where the plastic frame below started coming up. I stuck a small flat screwdriver in the gap and was able to get one clip to release. Once you get the first clip to release, the rest come easy. Then you just unscrew the old knob, replace it with the new knob and snap the leather boot and plastic rame with the clips back into place.

Search! I have installed the short shifter and posted DIY. Check out BilletProShop.com
Don't forget to get the bushing kits too. I also posted DIY's on them too.

Default well.....

Here is my solution. And remember i definatly march to a different drummer. First my car . Then the parts i used. And finaly the finished shift knob. the knob is from a 2012 accent 17.00. the skull i have had for a few years on different cars. I think i paid about 20.00 off ebay . and about 7.00 in a good epoxy. about two hours of prep work . and viola shift magic
