Default Got To Try The Heated Seats

Well, it was pretty chilly here in sunny central FL today. Had to go to the grocery store for wife and when I backed out of the garage I said, "Heated Seats!" By the time I was at the end of the block I could feel them starting to work. A mile down the highway my butt was toasty!

Almost makes me wish I was in a colder climate. NOT!!!!

i'm up here in vermont...so i have used them many times. Overall...not all that toasty. My mini cooper used to roast my chestnuts...but the GT just warms them.

I would agree with you, my Tacoma, the seats on high would quickly get too hot and would be great on low. In the GT I can go awhile on high and it isn't all that hot - warm and certainly nice when it's really cold out, but not all that great as far as heated leather seats go...

I find after about 5-10 minutes on high, it's too hot and I go to the low setting. It's perfect, I've kept it on low for entire trips.

I guess it's personal preference. This is my first car with heated seats, and it gets way too hot for me after it's been on HI for more then two minutes, on LO I can tolerate it for 10 to 15 minutes then I have to flip it off.

This is the first car where I use the heated seats regularly. I cycle between low heat and off. It's the first time I've had lumbar heat, that's the best part. On a long trip, intermittently using the seat warmer prevented back fatigue and next day soreness.

Hi fellow Portlander. I know that smell all to well. Husband gets it after sitting in his chair playing WOW for too long.

Haha, well luckily for me, It's only when I wear my Dockers Cool 18 pants. Designed to keep you cool and odor free when running around all day, but not when sitting in commute w/ heated seats!

Just want to preface this by saying that this is, in no way, a plug for my Leaf, but I went from leather with heaters on my Elantra, to cloth with heaters on my Leaf, and I'm actually enjoying the cloth in combination with the heaters much better. Leather is better for keeping clean, but I didn't realize that the cloth seats with the heater actually help reduce "swamp butt," as my husband refers to it.

Is your GT one with cloth or leather?
