Your welcome DJ, that looks similar to my capacitors but the writing on it is questionable, never seen them called a decoder but the description, size, wiring looks identical, you'll be all set.

I've never had that happen with my car... You sure you aren't twisting the light control stalk at the same time? I've only ever had my DRL become high beams when flashing someone during the day with my lights off.

Update: I was mistaken. The low beams also come on when pulling the stalk!

Thanks for the update TurboLed, I was thinking it was just me, I actually went out today and recorded it when I flashed my high beams.

I looked at the schematics and there is probably a way to avoid this behavior by inserting a diode going to the "head lamp low signal" between the light switch and the BCM. This way, when the passing switch grounds the high beam signal, it will not be grounding the low beams by making the current go back to the head lamp low signal.



The brown wire is still needed to let the high beams work only when the headlamp switch is grounded (blue wire)

Mine flashes too.

BTW, the caps fixed my HID issue. It's working nicely now.
