Elantra GT discounted, employee pricing event

$1675 off all trims in Canada at least. Sucks for us early adopters

No doubt the promo is to combat the bad press over the overstated fuel economy.

However, the interest rates are increased by 2% with the promo, so it's not as interesting as it looks. The deal is not available in Quebec...

I made the seal for my SE W/Tech last week and signed everything on Monday. I received a call on Saturday saying I would get the employee pricing but the interest had gone up. I ended up saving about $1 bi-weekly.

Unfortunately the fuel rebate only applies to cars purchased up to Nov 3rd so I miss out on that. I shook on the deal on Monday the 29th so I have a feeling that taking a week to do the paperwork might have been deliberate on their part.

Don't quote me on this but I remember reading that as long as the deal was made prior to Nov 3rd, the delivery date doesn't matter. I thought I read it in the FAQ but it doesn't seem to be there anymore so maybe they changed their minds. Doesn't hurt to try entering your VIN on the website anyway.

Thanks for the idea. I put my VIN number in and it confirms that any purchase after the 3rd is ineligable. My wife on the other hand will be getting around $157 back. She's pleased to say the least. She gets great milage AND a rebate !

There is a fuel rebate on the elantra GT? What do you have to do to apply for it. I purchased my car last month.

You said you just put in the vin and found out how much you were getting back? Can you please provide us with the information so we can check our vin numbers? Thanks.
