He said that he wants to be "my" middle man and I said that I don't need a middle man. He is so unprofessional and should probably be fired.
This is the only part I don't understand. Perhaps you and I are different. I would appreciate that the salesperson is taking their time to show me what work had been done. In fact, I thought it was standard procedure for all good dealerships or shops that do work on cars to run the customer through the work and make sure everything is up to par.

I don't understand the whole "middle man" part, but since I know this salesman, I won't read too much into it. He was probably just trying to help.

Third, I am not sure what you consider to be rude or polite cell phone etiquette. I suppose it would have been MORE polite of him not to answer the phone at all, but at least he put it down instead of proceeding to speak to the other person.

I know you're upset (and rightfully so) over this entire saga, but it sounds to me like they're TRYING to do right by you, so my advice is to relax, give them the benefit of the doubt, and stay positive.

Default A mouse!!

Just a quick update about my problems... I found mouse droppings on my dash this morning and just scheduled an appointment to see if they can prevent a mouse from getting inside. I posted some pictures of where I think the mouse may be coming in from. The front passenger seat is pictured with a slit in the carpet with a hole...

uff

I noticed that slit and contacted the dealer. It's on all GT's to show the VIN number. Can't say I noticed the hole. I'll check mine and get back to you

Wow, you have the worst luck. I don't think it's getting in there, that hole should be too small unless we're talking about a really really small mouse.

And dibs39 is correct, that silt in all GT's, including mine. That's where they print the VIN number into the chasis. I don't get why they need that if the VIN is already pinned onto your dash.

Its always a good idea to get out early when it goes down hill. A car is never going to be better then when it is new only worse as it wears if you have problems up front not only is it all down hill but you got ahead start. Get out of a POS as soon as you start snow balling is wise advice as they somehow seem to pick up curses along the way.

Lefty and elantraVT, the two with leaks, the two with mice. Makes me wonder if it's coincidence.

After getting your cars issues sorted out so you can move onto a different dealership to get your vehicle repaired, I would politely inform Hyundai USA and the dealership about your concerns and incidents with your best buddy salesman. Maybe even any local / state vehicle sales licencing board

Went to the dealer today and told them about the mouse problem. I waited for an hour and a half and the guy said they couldn't find the mouse but replaced my cabin air filter because the mouse made a nest. He said to park somewhere different and put either mothballs or fabric dryer sheets in the car. He said there will be no charge this time however if it happens again, I will be charged. I came home and ironically removed my bag from my back seat and a dead mouse came rolling out. I don't know if the dealer was being mean to me and placed it there...(you can tell I'm bitter towards them) or if it just happened to die there. All in all the mouse is gone and I put tons of dryer sheets around my car. Hopefully ill have no more problems.

Does anyone know how to go about on switching preferred dealers? I'm done with this one for good.

Lefty just go to a different dealer. Preferred dealer means nothing as far as I know. I would also look into small animal traps for outside your home near your parking spot. Check Ace hardware or Tractor Supply type places.
