Default Fog Light Bulb Replacement Tutorial

I just want to change the bulb in the fog light housing, I dont need to take out the housing itself so no need to take off the whole front bumper....I once read that you can just take off the skid plate under the car to gain access....does anybody have anymore info on this process?

Thanks!

so I said what the **** and tried to do this....it was so easy....there are 4 tab like screws under each side of the car, in line with the fog lights....just had to pop those out and fit my arm into the space and disconnect the bulb....it is the same process as the head lights...
there is no need to unscrew the main skid plate, just the separate ones that are in line with the fog lights.

Awesome! Thanks for being brave and trying it!

What bulb are you replacing them with? I'm thinking of using these:
PIAA | H8 Plasma Ion Yellow Twin Pack Halogen Bulbs #18535

honestly I went with the H8 from formula-j87.com....15 bucks shipped....I figure, if they burn out in 3 months who cares, they were 15 bucks...but my H11 headlights are from them and I have been running them for 3.5 months and have no problems at all...same with my cousin who has had them for 6 months on his sonata hybrid...people say that there is a chance of messing up your wiring but I take that with a grain of salt...the H11 are 55w like the stock and the H8 for the for are 35W like the stock ones....
and if all **** does break loose...just put the stock ones back in and take it to the dealership and use the "Idont know what happened" thing....they will fix it bc its under warranty...

FYI
5000k are the ones that match the LED eye brow....

Those are blue tint bulbs. I'll never put safety ahead of vanity. I'd rather actually see down the road than look cool.

If anything, I'll just save up some dough and eventually replace both my headlight assemblies with OEM HID projectors.

Does anyone know if the auto-levelling feature of the HIDs is built-in to the assemblies, or is a separate sensor required?

Usually the motor is in the assembly but the other part of the sensor (to detect if it's level or not) can be in other parts of the car. In some cars, all the way in the back! I don't know about the SFS in specific but if it's an easy swap I'd love to do that myself as well. Usually it's complicated but you should be able to use the projector w/o auto-level and just adjust it manually. Probably better than simply putting H11 HID capsules in your current projector.

Yes. But the blue tint filter other colors out (that why it appears white) and while it removes other colors, it also removes lumens. So that means you have a white output but weaker. You probably lose about 30% performance to gain the nice visual of white output.
