Hmm. Toyota's are renowned for their "nanny navs", and the inability to modify routes etc with the vehicle moving. It is a real frustration for many owners....and yes, we could get into a debate on the safety issue...but that is not the OPs point, so lets not go there.

What I can tell you is that there was a device that could be purchased after market to basically trick the OEM system that the car was stopped and therefore, allow user to use the system as if the vehicle was parked... a navigation bypass. Not sure if one is available for Hyundai though. Perhaps a search on the net might yield results.

Depends how bad you want it. Korean ones can be watched while driving. And have English capability.

Most likely its triggered by the parking brake switch. Try switching it on with and without the parking brake engaged. I installed an aftermarket dvd touch screen unit in my Suzuki Grand Vitara, which is plug and play. It was deactivated once I release the parking brake. Luckily it has the option to deactivate the park brake sensor.

You are right, it has been triggered be the "P" position. I think it will be awesome if I could find bypass module for it. I really appreciate any help to findout where to it from:-/from

Found this on one of the other forums (someone bypassed on 08 veracruz):

2008 Veracruz Dvd/nav Safety Bypass Instructions

Here's a soluntion for 2011 Genesis...not sure if they have something for 2013 SF:

Then I found this which has hacks for Hyundai DVD models by simply entering service function. Doubt the 2013 is in this link, but perhaps someone has time to figure out a solution??
