Smile First visit to service department.

So I took my SF in to have marrec A Pillar cover replaced.

While in for that they updated computer for the following:

C0184 - Fuel Cap Warning .Logic Update
C0191 - Cluster Update to fix fuel tank not showing full on angled surface

I had mentioned the seat movement and the informed me of tool they have from Hyundai Canada that expands the tube in the seat hinge to take up slack. They mentioned I was lucky as there aren't enough tools for all Canadian Dealers, so it is moved between dealers and my dealer is sending the took out on this Monday. So far no movement in the seat.

I knew I forgot to ask something! I have to call them to correct my contact number, so will ask them the build date then.

I know that I have the 7102 Santa FE from my VIN.

The build date should be on a plate inside the driver's door frame.

Nice to hear your dealer has gone out of their way to take care of you. I'm sure you'll love your sf more now.

So my Santa Fe build date was Thursday August 9th 2012.

The Service Manager showed me the document on the seat fixing took, that Hyundai Canada sent with the took. My Service Paper lists the fixing of the seat as: swaggart took update.

Seat has been good so far.

You did got lucky!! My dealer did ordered the full rail for the seat but when I got to the dealer for repair, the mechanic told me that he didn't need to change the track. As per a new bulletin, he have to order that special tool in order to fix the tubes. Now I'm waiting since end of November! Will ask for the new update C0191 and probably a steering calibration for the wandering issue... Ouf! Hopefully, after that my car will be ok!!

Good to hear that your seat is ok now! There is hope!!

To our Canadian friends: Did the CO191 cluster up-date solve the "wonky" fuel gauge readings?....If so, how long before the first "brick" comes off now?....Also, do you notice any other changes to the way the computer is acting: ie range, etc ?.......

I have only filled up twice since getting the Santa Fe. The first time was before the computer upgrade and the first segment turned off after about 5km. The second time was after the computer upgrade and I have gone 33km and still have first segment turned on.

So either it is fixed or really messed up and no segments will turn off!

rgpeters, let me know how the CO191 fix pans out as I need to get that done to my SF. I had everything else fixed but I am only getting about 450kms on a tank and there is still about 13 liters left when the gas light is on. I can only fill about 53 liters max on a 66 liter tank.
