Only if you are doing like 250 knots, because if you are over 250 knots it would be illegal...(ya know, max speed below 10,000ft is 250knots).

Damifino.....Nice post...
Thanks for the tip on the Shark Fin mis-alignment..I found mine to be 5 degrees off..After correcting it, my vehicle now tracks straight....and with better gas mileage...

Happy New Year!!

I reversed the direction of my shark fin antenna so that it rips through the space-time fabric at exactly 65 MPH.

You guys are too funny.

Default Car Washes

My dealer washes my Santa Fe for free, for as long as I own the vehicle

Lucky bugger. My brother put it in his new house several years ago.

May put it in my next house. The only thing holding me back is that I was told by a good friend who has owned a body shop for some 30 years, that a warm garage actually speeds up rusting the rusting process, especially if you're in an area with lots of salt on the roads in winter. He recommends a cold garage.

It works beautifully and I don't have to freeze my arse off doing it. It has revolutionized how I wash and take care of my cars.
Based on this recommendation, I picked up a bottle of ONR. I've now washed my SF a couple of times using the method described, and all I can say is WOW. The car looks fabulous and I can do it in my garage in the middle of winter. It definitely helps to run it through a DIY car wash if you have a lot of winter grime.

What a great product.

Never tried ONR, but I have to admit, I am a bit of a skeptic. I could not imagine using only a bucket of water with ONR to wash my vehicle. Without rinsing of the loose grit, I suspect one is grinding that sand and debris into the paint and creating fine scratches, which perhaps are hidden initially by lubricants in the ONR. Maybe I am wrong, but I have seen what something as simple as a slightly dirty towel can do to paint.

I would love to pull out my halogen spot light and take a look at the paint surface with it, before ONR, and after a couple of uses. I use a halogen and look at it in the reflection of the paint when I polish using my PC orbital...it shows EVERYTHING.

Anyway, love to be proven wrong about ONR...I might even consider using it!

I was skeptical too. It goes against everything I've learned over the years. I was drawn to it because I really didn't want to use drive through car washes during the winter. I read review after review praising it, so I decided to take a leap of faith. All I can say at this point is my car is sitting in my garage this evening, after washing it earlier today, and it looks like the day I drove it off the lot. Time will tell though.

As I mentioned, if it's particularly gnarly with winter crud, I'll run it thru the self serve bay and hit it with their pressure hose. If it isn't bad enough to require that, I do use a spray bottle to pre soak the areas that are more soiled. Also, I try to use a light touch with the wash rag, don't use circular motions, and use a second bucket of ONR to pre rinse the rag.

I would much rather hand wash it as I do during the summer, but that isn't an option during the winter.
